Katharine, project manager of the Ron Paul Blimp here.

Please visit our sister site, Ron Paul Air Force (http://www.ronpaulairforce.com), to read about our plans to put an aerial billboard banner over Glendale, Scottsdale, Tempe and Phoenix in the days and hours leading up to the Superbowl. This project is being run in partnership with the Ron Paul Air Corps (http://www.ronpaulaircorps.com) who have generously agreed to loan us one of their 30x90ft. Ron Paul Banners (pictured below) so we can fly it in Arizona.

This campaign costs $1,600 per 3-hour flight over strategic pre-Superbowl targets.

If you like this idea please post it around the internet. We need to see interest soon to make final commitments.

How does it cost $1600 for 3 hours? I rent planes regularly for $100 to $150 per hour?

Well, I talked to the Ron Paul Air Corps about the quote and it is competitive with what they and other banner flying groups pay. That amount also includes shipping on the banner.

What do you rent planes for, are they flying banners and where? If there is truly a secret way to fly a plane with a banner for that kind of money I would love enlightenment.

It seems like the Air Corps was doing this a lot cheaper. I thought it was only a couple hundred bucks??

Bump...no use in buying a RP ad from faux....on top of that they are trying to influence the election again with a 3 hr political pre-game.....you know who wont be invited to that party. We have to make RP`s presense known at the Super bowl in any way imaginable.

I am in direct contact with the president of Genesis Communications (they run Ron Paul Air Corps (http://www.ronpaulaircorps.com)) several times a week and the pricing we received for Arizona is the same as many places he has flown and a little more or less expensive than some others..so, pretty average price wise. The Ron Paul Air Force (http://www.ronpaulairforce.com) raised money to fly New Hampshire the day before the primaries and partnered with the Air Corps so that we were over NH on the 6th (debate), 7th and 8th. The pricing there was similar.

Thanks for the polite questioning.

I'll be over at www.Justin.tv/blimpette at 9:30pm EST tonigh answering questions about the blimp and the Air Force Project and another initiative we are launching tonight.

Mckarnin, please urge your fellow blimpers to come back down to earth and help us. You guys are folk heroes to us, but we want you helping us with the ground war, as well. I like the banner idea ten times better than the blimp, BTW. It seems very efficient!

We're trying to close the blimp down with class (unless some wealthy blimp lover wants to fork over big $$) and move on to other things that are a better long-term match for all of you. Believe me when I say that Trevor, Elijah, myself...have all been sneaking in side work whenever we can to try to get other project's foundations laid while taking care of this huge project and we will not disappoint you.

I'm a blimp lover but alas, not wealthy :( But I sure wish y'all could do both. Maybe things will change in the next couple of weeks. I keep hearing all these rumors that big things are going to happen.

I'm hoping something will happen that will tip the scales in RPs favor so all the fence-sitters who think RP is unelectable will come on board and start funding all these projects.

Oh well, I'm a dreamer and I dream BIG :o

Ron Paul Air Corps is flying banners all over the US. Their goal is to hit each state before their primary date. We at Ron Paul Airforce work on extra strategic targets, like the Super Bowl. I have been in frequent contact with Ted since early this month and this project is a partnership between us.
