Our racial demographics may be representative of the nations but our gender balance does not (well, so I've heard anyway). What do you female Paul supporters think about signing up for the biggest woman demographic forums (if you are not already), such as mothering themed, feminism themed, home & garden, daytime television, vogue and beauty/cosmetic themed forums, and share pictures like this one:

And just say something like;

OMG, look at this picture of this politician, the baby is trying to kiss him! LOL. This congressman is running for president AND he has delivered 4000 babies as an ob/gyn. Anybody know more about him?

Might get some conversations started, no?

It's not going to happen. Women generally want security, not freedom.

If the research is right however women who have two or more sons should be more willing to support Ron Paul, while women with two or more daughters are unlikely to vote libertarian.

How much would it cost to put that picture as an ad in
women's magazines?

Women don't like the war in greater numbers than men, that is something, and they also should be able to jump on getting rid of the DOE...I don't know a single woman who doesn't worry about the education of her kids. Even though they probably mostly want a socialist healthcare system, many would like to be able to choose their own doctors...Ron's changes would help that, so that might help. No tax on tips...lots of women waitresses. Free-market energy reform will hurt oil companies and women hate global warming...they can jump on that.

There are plenty of issues that women would like of Ron Paul, you just need to be adaptive in your arguments guys. We do need them, so be considering that as you try to convert people.

Women want security for themselves and family - strong economy and no draft -- that's what should be pushed

Well, I am a woman so maybe I can be helpful.

Women need to hear from other women in ads.

THIS woman worries about my teenage son and McCains 100 years war.
I worry about the job my husband works and I pray it won't be shipped to china.
I worry about my family being safe while our borders are wide open.

Best way to reach women, is by conversation.
Women love to talk things out and come to a conclusion.
We are protective of our families and our homes.
we are protective of our country and its soldiers.

I hope this helps.

Yes, women want security (i should know, i am one). But the smart ones of us know that freedom = security. Seek out the smart women - they'll get it immediately! ;)

I've been on-board for a few months now (new the the forums however). I've been working on the letter writing campaign and am addicted to this!

Just my $.02

Hey, maybe we can get a conversation on making the perfect ad for female demographic to print in major women's magazine?

Seems like some really good points being brought up here. Can anyone reach the official campaign about doing something like this?
(They'd HAVE to use the above picture of course :) )

I like your $.02 and I'll raise you $.04 :)

As another woman supporting Ron Paul I agree. I don't think we want anything different than the men want. The message just needs to be "sold" to most women in a different way than it's "sold" to men.

The photo in the OP is perfect and some of the points raised in previous points are great. An amazing woman-oriented ad could be made of all this.

Well, smart women often go to the leftish tool manifacturing plant, aka college.

I can't quite think of a good way to convey that freedom = security since to me it's an opposite, but then again I don't believe in the 'need' of security, only the means.

Sigh. Not all women are the same. It's kind of like saying, "We need more men to vote, let's hit the car and tool magazines!"

For me, I don't want the government in my life, period. And Ron Paul is the best solution for less government, and less government spending. I have kids, and dislike the DO Ed as someone mentioned, but like even less the crap compulsory attendance laws, which are locally enforced. I can't take my kids on an educational trip when I feel like it without the schools breathing down my neck and sending me letters that I'm in violation of the law. . . I did homeschool, but now that I'm a single parent trying to go back to school again myself, doesn't work so well.

Most of the women I know and am friends with are much more like me than the "typical woman" everyone keeps saying we need to win over to Ron Paul. And it was extremely easy to win them over. I merely mentioned his name, or sent a piece of information, and they dove into researching him themselves.

But there's one of my friends that might fit this "typcial" mold who will defer the conversation to her husband to take over rather than do any thinking herself. I wouldn't know how effective anything I could say would be to either a man or woman who is closed off like that.

My suggestion is to talk to your sisters, wives, girlfriends, moms, aunts, etc. as well as the men you know, and have them spread the word in their groups. Ads in women's magazines is certainly not a bad idea either. And any women that are already part of some of those kinds of forums you mentioned can certainly spread the word there.

The forums I'm a part of - one there's a number of RP supporters there and it's where I heard about him myself. On a different forum I added my viewpoint in a discussion that was started regarding Iran, and got rather attacked by both male and female members there. Really sad how emotionally involved people are in the war. It was bizarre the "we must kill all muslims!" kind of thing they had going on. So, mixed reactions, but neither was a girly forum :).
