This COULD help us because Fred is the "Reagan Guy". That will leave them few other options, and for the sector that supports him because of his celebrity status, the may not vote anyways!

If this proves correct and the McCain's record on POWs makes the mainstream, the only ones we're going to have to deal with are Romney and Huckabee. Thankfully, the more people hear Huckabee, the more people dislike him which leave only Romney. Thankfully, Dr. Paul is light-years ahead of Romney on monetary policy that he will, hopefully, be able to gain more traction considering the current economic news.

Your right:

h ttp://cameron.blogs.foxnews.com/

Per Carl Cameron:

“FOXNEWS has learned that Fred Thompson is returning to his home in McClean VA and plans to withdraw from the race. He has begun calling friends, family and supporters and telling them his campaign is over.”

Statement from Sen. Fred Thompson

McLean, VA -

Senator Fred Thompson today issued the following statement about his campaign for President:”Today I have withdrawn my candidacy for President of the United States. I hope that my country and my party have benefited from our having made this effort. Jeri and I will always be grateful for the encouragement and friendship of so many wonderful people.”

The Carl Cameron.. umm.. dude.. said that Thompson was flying back to Virginia now after visiting his ill mother in Tennessee following the SC primary.

Thompson has apparently told those inside his campaign staff that he will withdraw.

CNBC's Erin Burnett.. yumm.. just reported that he HAS withdrawn.

McCain is about to implode from the revelations - Even the Keating Five involvement has been forgotten by the voters.

That's enough to bring him down by itself.
