Hi all.... generally I'm not prone to ask for much help, but the grassroots movement in Ohio is looking to run ads in several Ohio newspapers for the upcoming March 4th Primary. Check out the website here: www.Ohio4RonPaul.com for info on the ads
and the chipin if you're so inclined: http://ohio4ronpaul.chipin.com/o

We have 88 delegates up for grabs in March and delegates are winner take all by Congressional District. So this would be a BIG help. Thanks!

I'm in Ohio. Where are the ads going to run?

The ads will run all across Ohio in 65 different newspapers... from Alliance to Wooster and everywhere in between. We're halfway to our goal! Thanks to all that have helped!

How many times will they run? Do you have images of the ads? How big will they be?

The design of the ads themselves are still in the works. So fas as I know, they will run just once, unless we can come up with more money, and the size will be 2 columns wide by 2" deep.
Thanks for the bump!

Awesome work. I say we get this better funded and keep the ads running more than once.

I am hoping these are in local newspapers across the state? Here in Michigan the places that did really well had two things: Precinct captains and ads/letters to the editor in the local newspaper.

I think this was what accounted for great success in Iowa's Jefferson county as well.

Ohio is a good state to work on. Since it is a major battleground state in the general election, if RP can do well in it it would show the GOP establishment that he could beat the Dem nominee in that key state.

I am involved in this project and need help!

we can blast out an ad to 65 local newspapers through adohio.net, and we almost have all the money we need. The size of the ad is 2 column by 2 inch (3.75 inch wide by 2 inch deep).

can some graphics designers out there help come up with some ads this size asap. We could provide this ad to people across the country, it is usually small and cheap enough that people can pay out of pocket.

contact me at jb4ronpaul@gmail.com

it's a small amount of space, here is my idea for the ad

its the word recession that is supposed to catch your eye on the page. this ad could run anywhere without the ohio4ronpaul. it uses the current big issue, recession, the get attention. can you help?

thanks

Thanks for the bump!

Repetition is important. It might be better to run them more than once in fewer places. (Bump.)

I like the ad and what you're trying to do with little space.

Have you seen any of the state polling? What issues are important to Ohioans? What issues are important to the ones considering Dr. Paul? Is there anyone helpful at HQ who can help with this? It's all in the crosstabs!

I believe we can raise enough to run the ad multiple times in all 65 papers.

I don't have the polls, but talking to people I would say the big issue is jobs, recession.

This was the best I could find:
http://www.surveyusa.com/client/PollReport.aspx?g=02b5f339-b9ac-4bbe-84c8-82a0018730c0

Seriously though, call HQ and see if they have internal polls for Ohio.

I checked with HQ this morning on getting data. According to them, they cannot advise us on this. It's apparently against FEC regs. for them to help us in any way with this kind of data. Score another one for HQ. They suggested Google. :)

Keep the help coming! Thanks all.

I live in Niles, OH (near warren an youngstown)

Have you contacted any of the 3 or 4 meetup groups in this area? Be sure your efforts reach the Tribune Chronical. It is a large local paper that is read by 4 major counties in this area.

Its also the 2nd oldest newspaper in the state of Ohio.

I'll do what I can to help!

Don't forget that the bulk of delegates for Ohio are given out not based on the overall vote, but rather based on the winner of each congressional district. Therefore, ya might want to aim the ads at specific districts instead of across the entire state.

(Each district gives 3 times 18 districts = 54)
(Overall state winner = 31)
(State party officials = 3)

What will president Ron Paul do?

- RESTORE the economy and the US dollar with real economic reform, not temporary "bailouts"
- REDUCE taxes and eliminate the national debt by shrinking the federal government
- PROTECT civil liberties and individual rights for all
- PREVENT spying on Americans and invasions of privacy
- PROMOTE a foreign policy of peace, no nation-building or policing the world

Now more than ever, we need to put our trust freedom, the principles of our Constitution, and the advice of our founding fathers.
On March 4th vote Ron Paul for president 08

Once in a lifetime someone runs for president that always does what he says and votes based on principles, not politics.

someone who has NEVER voted to raise taxes.
who has NEVER voted for an unbalanced budget
who has has NEVER taken a taxpayer paid trip
who has never voted to raise congressional pay
Someone so principled lobbyist don't even bother talking to him
Someone who has NOT ONCE violated the principles of our Constitution in foreign OR domestic policy

Once in a lifetime we have the opportunity to support a true statesman that we can TRUST.
On March 4th vote to restore honesty and principled leadership in Washington.
