A few months ago, Dave Grohl was on NPR and he said that he was leaning towards Ron Paul, so I take this hearsay with a grain of salt. It's possible that he's opened up to Ron Paul. That would be cool as hell.

If he said that he is voting for Ron Paul, that is an endorsement.

Too alarming now to talk about
Take your pictures down and shake it out
Truth or consequence, say it aloud
Use that evidence, race it around

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
Hes ordinary

Dont the best of them bleed it out
While the rest of them peter out
Truth or consequence, say it aloud
Use that evidence, race it around

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
Hes ordinary

Kudos my hero leaving all the best
You know my hero, the one thats on

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
Hes ordinary

No, a endorsement involves legal paperwork and declarations.

I must be old. Nirvana is back in the day. I don't think Foo Fighters have reached back in the day status yet.

I saw the Foo Fighters Thursday night in Orlando (with my 14 year old daughter!) and they SMOKED!

David Grohl is a fabulous entertainer and had the audience going nuts, especially touting the first-ever 'triangle' solo!

Chris Noveselic (spelling? Donated to Ron Paul.

QFT. The Foos are still around and putting out some decent rock and or roll.

What's interesting about this story is he was probably (though not necessarily) tipped off by his old band mate and bassist in Nirvana Krist Novelelic (who donated during the 2nd quarter I think). I posted a story a while ago how I met the guy at a Ron Paul breakfast :D

Ed Grimley was years ahead of him on that.

Yep, yep. It was caught on the flash gizmo on Ron's main site for donations. There should be a posting with a screeny somewhere on these forums but if that fails his name should be researchable in financial statements I think? Not too sure about that one though.

I was at that show also. It was great.
Dave is an amazing songwriter. The guy knows how to write a hit song, he does it well and he does it often. He also knows how to play up a crowd. Dave is a rock star, if there are any left in this world.

I'm glad to hear Dave may be endorsing Ron Paul. I know Chris Shiflet, the bassist, is very anti-war and I had thought he was anti-capitalist, too. I think he's also a "truther". I wouldn't expect an endorsement from him, but I'm not sure about Dave. I know they are all anti-war, though and that may be the biggest plus for Ron Paul.
I'm active on the Foo Fighters message board, too... in the political forum.

Um sorry guys but he did not even mention the elections. I crazy about RP but this is a lie. There was some really nice ron paul people handing out stuff outside in the 14 deg cold. I was impressed and chatted awhile with him. But foo didn't mention ron paul :( sorry guys.

dave really crossed genres, that album with learn to fly and generator is one of the greatest albums of my time. Every track on that album is great.

Great band, lots of albums sold. The one with breakout and stacked actors has become a classic over time. Krist Noveslic (sp) used to be pretty political, and I know had a tinge of socialism in his paradigm, back in his younger days. I think he is realizing the democrats are controlled by the system as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if Grohl is an RP fan judging by the last video where they are playing in front of riot police. As intelligent as both those guys are it wouldn't be a surpirse if they know alot about whats going on. Both these guys could rally alot of Gen Xers to the cause.
