CITIZENS AGAINST CAMPAIGN WASTE (CACW)

The Federal Farmer herewith makes this post in an effort to streamline the campaign. It is top heavy and the citizens who contribute do not appear to be getting their money's worth. What you will see is egregious especially for folks who have no proven track record. I know Dr. Paul knows none of this is going on because he wouldn’t allow it.

Mind you, navigating the FEC disbursements is problematic for the simple reason that it's not easy to locate a person's company with that person's pay. Given the current track record, it will be interesting to see the 4th quarter results. Hopefully the campaign will be readjusted in a major way to get rid of people that do not produce results.

So, to spotlight those piggies who’d gladly feed at the federal trough because they haven’t worked in the private sector trenches, here’s the first round up of campaign porkers for the OCTOBER quarter of 2007:

LEADERS OF CAMPAIGN PORK

Sherrel Moore $ 116,751.66 (3rd Quarter)
(aka Lew Moore)

Snyder, Kent $ 90,674.61 (3rd Quarter)

Joe Seehusen $ 36,438.33 (3rd Quarter)

RUNNERS UP

Joe Becker $ 28,984.24 (3rd Quarter)
Jared, Jeff $ 19,719.63 (3rd Quarter)

Questionable 3rd Quarter Expenditures: (could not relate an expenditure to a campaign activity)

American Express $33,808.55
Babys Here Inc. $42,325.99

Lew Moore and Kent Snyder received as much money in three months as most contributors make in a year. And what have they produced? And what does Joe Becker do to earn his keep?

The question is, what are the citizen contributors getting for their contributions? A win in Iowa? Michigan? South Carolina?

Ronald Reagan fired a great many of the air traffic controllers and productivity rose above 50% the next year. The same thing needs to happen with the campaign. The 4th quarter filings will indeed be interesting.

Having been involved in presidential campaigns before, I'm 99.99% certain that those are not just salaries. They include expense reimbursements, most of which is probably travel related.

Bare-bones campaigns typically book airline tickets, hotel rooms, car rentals, etc. on personal credit cards, which have to be reimbursed. The campaign itself probably doesn't have credit cards and using a debit card generates holds on funds that severely restict cash flow.

American Express is likely fees on credit card donations.

The fees should be itemized and you can't chalk this up to travel related expenses. Where is the transparency? With millions, we're hardly bare bones. The way this campaign works is to submit receipts. Any self respecting CPA would think the numbers suspicious for transparency.

haha you should look at the Giuliani filings.... Ritz Carlton here and there. $150k+ to Giluliani and Associates. This is someone looking for trouble with no proof to back up his accusations.

The FEC findings are probative. So your view is that the campaign is doing a great job? Or is your logic, "Because Giuliani wastes more, Ron Paul's waste isn't that bad?" I would hate for the country to be run this way.

The Truth is, it's time for a change. Heads are rolling as we speak and the upper echelon needs to do the right thing and resign.

Curiously, you senior members seem to be protecting the campaign instead of discerning for truth? Are you paid by the campaign as a staffer or company? If so, state your name and occupation for transparency sake.

Hey, I need a job and I'd be more than happy to work for this amount per quarter :p

Those numbers comprise MUCH more than just their salaries. I'm sure Lew and Kent WISH those were their salaries, but those numbers are not even close. There is another place which lists them. I'll see if I can find it and come back here and post it.

It's not Applebees that is the problem. I pasted this to show that such expenditures are treated separately.

The point is that this money is of the kind that you personally will never make in your lifetime short of inflation. Recall that the 116K of Lew Moore amounts to approximately $467,000 per year.

Ron Paul makes about $160,000 per year as a Congressman. And, I doubt his entire congressional staff uses a budget of more than $800,000 per year. Hmmm?

Sherrel Moore (aka Lew) appears to receive salary of $4151.64 twice a month, which is roughly $100k per year, likely working 80+ hours per week. IMO, that's reasonable pay for the job -- probably on the low side.

Whether he's the right person for the job is a different question -- ultimately, that's Dr. Paul's call to make.

Since this is the users first post, on the day a money bomb is going off, I somewhat suspect that that is the case.

I don't support fedfarm but the misc expenses are kind of high. I would like to know why they're so high and what they were.

I used to be a cop and hated to hear how bad cops were treated. It's a job. No one forces you to do it. None of this "they work 24/7" is relevant to me at least.

FedFarm, why are you posting this stuff?

^That's absolutely correct.

When I spoke to Debbie Hopper when she came to St. Louis, she said this is one of the things they've seen discussed on dailypaul and it's ocmpletely innaccurate. Tthey are paying for everything out-of-pocket and they're being reimbursed by the campaign.
