"Winning delegates in California, A California District Strategy.

California has 53 Congressional Districts, each District has 3 delegates REGARDLESS of the proportion of Dems and Reps in that district. This means that districts with extremely low amounts of Republicans can easily be "taken over" through precinct canvassing. The following are districts have a small minority of Republicans: 1st, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 23rd, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31th, 32th, 33rd, 34th, 35th, 38th, 39th, 51st. If you live in California or plan to volunteer there, please choose precincts within the above districts, or your efforts may be largely wasted."

Good post. I hope meetup organizers are reading this. I honestly don't even know my precinct number haha... BUT I am in Irvine and our meetup group is pretty well organized - I just drop off slim jims wherever they tell me :D

Here is a map resource showing the various districts:

The SD meetups should work on 51, which is basically wide open desert, with El Centro, Brawley, Calexico and the Salton Sea. A concerted effort there could pay off.

There are probably about 5 people out there who can legally vote. So if you get 3, thats win!

you need to sign up for a precinct with the official campaign. Go to www.ronpaul2008.com.

they will send you a list of all of the registered republicans in your neighborhood and where they live. that way you are knocking on the right doors.

I'm in district 23, up in the North county. Slight majority of Republicans. I am pretty much by myself precinct walking Paso Robles. I have had three different people join me for a walk session each. All gals. I am concentrating on Rep.s almost exclusively.
Last night I emailed about a hundred folks. Still have 20+ precincts worth of email address' to collate and send to.
I have converted a few friends (my Mom too!) and found a few supporters, but only maybe one in ten.
Still finding folks on each outing that haven't heard of RP. Gives me hope and keeps me going.
