I still like "THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES HAS HEREBY ISSUED A $440,000 LIEN ON YOUR PROPERTY" for the headline though, really grabs you by the brain stem :)

Was going to say something about the banner too, but it's not a huge distraction. However, there is one problem on page 2 that I see. Ron Paul's speech before congress is broken up. The "Ron Paul has:" section is where the third part of the speech should be. Right now it looks like the speech parts aren't connected at all :( Hoping it's easy to shift the text around. Still, very good work.

What is o/l?

Edit to add: Oh, and the excerpt from Dr. Paul's Issues page might need to include the introductory paragraph all in the colored block. Right now I read it as two seperate things when they are all together. Should be something like this:

Beginning of block
In this excerpt from Ron Paul's Issues page on Healthcare[6]....

End of block
....we can make our health care system the envy of the world again."

The "If you have watched the televised debates so far..." paragraphs shouldn't be part of the issues page block.

Yes, dump the revolution banner, the revolution is already started we don't care if others join us in the revolution we care about votes. For whatever reason some milder folks feel the word Revolution is radical in nature.

Just Put Dr. Ron Paul Hope for America.

I was just getting the text done for canvassers and emailing. rpfan2008 was nice enough to get the graphics editting done which makes it look tons more professional than my wordpad attempt looks :D Hoping if people want to do this they'll just spend their own money and time mailing neighbors, canvassing, or emailing to friends/family.

I totally agree here. That banner is an eye-sore in this application. On a sign at a rally, yeah, it looks cool. On a flyer you're going to be handing out to middle-aged, and elderly people who have never heard of Ron Paul before, it is just not the way to go at all.

Also, the bottom-left section of page two has some font issues. The "bold CAPITALIZED" text doesn't look good.

Love the work put into it, but its to wordy. 90% of the people will throw it away. It looks sloppy at that. Not trying to be negative, just trying to be honest.

It needs to be clear and to the point, not wordy and sloppy with a bunch of text pasted in.

Debts and future obligations are over 40 Trillion. Amazing, but I'd say it in many fewer words.

"The more you write, the less they read."

"The more you say, the less they hear."

Keep it brief (great effort, just being honest!)

The message looks GREAT... thanks for the time to do this.

The emotion of Ron Paul looks cold... not sure why maybe poor resolution. Please warm it up with a better dpi resloution, or maybe change image. My 2 cents... per a background in newspapers, magazine, and advertising agencies.

Good work all. I really tried to keep my text to a minimum, but I just couldn't bring myself to cut certain things because they explain how Dr. Paul would get us out of this mess. Maybe someone else can find a better way to reach undecided voters. I agree with everyone though on the revolution thing. We want this to go out to those who might see the revolution as a 'fringe' thing, so we want to take that out if possible. I do disagree on the bill format though, because I think most voters will become ANTI-Paul if they are tricked like that.

I'm surprised that Americans have gotten so lazy that they won't read a two page document, but it is an accurate critique that I have received from my meetup group and from online here.

At the very least print up the two page version if Rhys isn't finished in time. It's better than nothing, especially if people are sitting in a caucus with nothing to do and waiting for it to get started.

Here's the question we need to ask ourselves.

I just printed the full text and it's 4 pages long with NO formating and NO layout.

How much do we want to cut? Right now I'm designing a legal sized one page handout, front and back. With that, I expect to cut up to 50% of the text.

OR

I can layout a nice 6 page handout with all the text.

OR

I can do both.

Unfortunately, "Owes" is a dishonest representation of what Mr. Walker is saying. "has a fiscal burden" is what he is saying. There is a difference between 'owes' and 'has a fiscal burden'. Owes means they definitely have to pay it. Having a fiscal burden means that the government will need that much and the debt is estimated based on each household.

What Would Ron Do?

Do you REALLY want people putting Ron Paul and Hillary side by side with similar campaigning practices?

My premise for the beginning part of the document is what Mr. Walker said. I am not twisting his words. His words are sufficient enough to wake up the people, but noone knows about it. Heck, I hadn't even heard about it until someone posted the Glenn Beck/David Walker clip. While it may be true that we will all owe this eventually, it is still dishonest in pertaining to what David Walker is saying and I think will turn ALOT of voters away from Paul if they saw this wording and started researching the sources I provide.

I didn't say David Walker said it... really. That was my line. He's quoted accuratly. If you really insist, it is your project... BUT remember this... your wording for a headline is going to get this thing thrown in the trash. it starts too complicated, and just gets worse from there. you've done some really excelent work but if you'll trust me for now, wait until I'm finished. I'll package the whole thing... I think Ron would package better if he knew how. hehe

And yes, I would pay money (well...) to see Ron Paul with half the slick package of Hilary.

maybe I don't know what the definition of fiscal burden is?
