Chip in at my Blogger (http://3p1c.blogspot.com/)

My meetup group and I want to run a full page ad in the local newspaper.
http://verdenews.com/

This is one of the Main papers for the Verde Valley. The population here in the Verde Valley is about 40,000 since the last census. The Verde Independent is the Main paper read here in the Cottonwood area, but it also gets fair coverage up in Sedona.

There is not a lot of lead time on this mainly due to the paper running a special on full page ads at $600.00 vs $1950.72.

The run date would be Jan. 30th. With the money due the 28th.

The local meetup and I have pledged 300.00 of that 600.00

meetup 1112 (http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1112/?gj=sj6)

Threw together this full page.. suggestions comments?

After looking at the 440k warning that the forums has done I may run that one instead, slightly modified to fit the full page ad layout format.

You guys did an awesome job with that one.

It looks like the people in my meetup group have gotten close to 300 of the 600 needed for the ad. If anyone out there is interested please see my first post if you can help.

get rid of that picture you have on there, and use this one instead:

http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/Ron_Paul_Photo_4.jpg

and it wouldnt hurt to make the frame around his face a little bigger, give him some breathing room!

Ok question for everyone.

How do the PAC's work I know that we have a few pacs that run ads here and there. Where would I get a hold of them. 600 for a full page ad is a pretty good deal and I would hate to see it wasted in a heavily Conservative location.

bump. Not sure, but I don't think you need a PAC for 600 bucks. But check on that. 600 is a great deal for a full page ad. I would add in there that Ron Paul is running for President. Please. We have a lot of local elections coming up. People won't know if he running for city council or Mayor. And those of us that are old enough to remember, Don't tread of me is something that kids say, not a politician, it is too cutesy. Can you put Ron Paul for President 2008 down there and maybe mention somewhere that the primary will be held on February 5.

Can I get a pdf of this one - I want to run it in our local daily.

BTW - if i pay for 3 days - $1200 out of my own pocket - am I a PAC? or can I just do it? I live in Virginia.

I would be happy to send it to you.

As far as the 1200 vs pac. As far as I know if one person is paying for an ad I do not think there is a limit to how much a person can spend. I am not sure of the legal requirements on that though.

Send me a private message with your e-mail and I can send it over. If you need I can send it in .psp if you want to edit the base file. I also have it in color.

We couldn't get enough funding in time to proceed so we will have to figure out something else.

We had a grand total of 300 from the meetup group and $0.00 from online.
