You can bet he would continue to put people in jail and waste taxpayers money. Here in California the prison situation has already reached a crisis point. So much so that I believe I read where the govenator had to release a whole bunch of non-violent drug offenders just to make room for real criminals. Yet the DEA still puts sick people in federal prison on what is surely just a matter of principle. I live in a county where so many people make a living off of growing marijuana, or at least supplement their income by growing, they can't even begin to put a dent in it, they simply don't have the resources. It's a real joke. So much so that the mexican drug cartels send illegals into the national parks to set up gardens and they make a ton of money off of this countries insatiable need for drugs. I often think, if drugs were legal and taxed, we would not need an income tax. Not only that but there would be much less crime.

I agree,

if they allowed you to go registar at some clinic and pay for it legally and tax the shit out of the drug user instead of throwing him in jail the country would be much better off. make drug users register with the town they live in if need be but allow them to do what they want as long as it is not causing harm to others. Crime would go way down the economy would prosper and the jails would be used for the real criminals.

rant over.

Every other candidate except Paul would answer this question in the same way.

Romney is a slimy and malevolent looking character. He looks like an android.

If the pharma industry could find a way to make money off it it would be legal next week. The problem is it grows like a weed. You can't charge people for something they could grow in their own back yard.

Have you seen the drug commercials?

may cause anal leakage?

No thanks, I'd rather smoke a fatty.....

side effects: may cause the "munchies".....

Forget Mitt Romney! Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHS_y94H1Dk) what Dr. Paul has to say about medical marijuana.

I thought I read that somewhere...Was that ever in the national news?
And you hear him cry about our budget crisis in his state of the state? The state of California used to be a surplus economy and could easily be that way again if marijuana was taxed and regulated.
