Can we finally get confirmation as to weather or not the $2,300 cap resets each quarter? I believe it does.

This is an important detail for today as a buddy of mine feels he is maxed out from the tea party... if not he is ready to help NOW.

Tell him to donate - if he has hit the maximum, the campaign will send it back.

No. The cap is for the entire primary season. If Ron gets the nomination, we can donate another $2300 for the general election.

Yeah its only 2300 per cycle per candidate. But, you're friend could give a tax free gift of up to 10,000 to a family member, who could then be advised to donate 2300 to Mr. Paul.

Its the same thing Hillary and Obama's corporations do, they give everyone a $2300 bomus with a note heavily suggesting how it is to be spent.

What crabtree is suggesting is illegal. Your friend can contribute for the general election... Which, I can promise you, Dr. Paul will be a part of.

it would be illegal if he donated the money in someone elses name.

It is legal to give a relative money, tax free up to 10,000 per year.

It is legal to ask someone to donate to a political campaign,

how then is what I am suggesting illegal?

It would be illegal if he FORCED the person to do that,
A suggestion is not the same as a string.

"I am giving you $2,500" Legal. "You SHOULD donate some money to Mr. Paul" Legal

"I am giving you $2,500" Still legal " You HAVE to donate that money to Mr. Paul" ILLEGAL

It could be $12,000, I heard about the $10,000 a few years ago, so its quite probable its increased. The largest I've ever done was $2,000 from my dad to help with getting my house.

Make campaign contributions using 1 oz. gold American Eagles. They have a $50 face value.;)
