Experiencing this RP campaign, I've realized something. There are two types of people.

There is the type of person that treats the elections as a process to find the best candidate for the job.

Then there is the type that base their decision on factors such as the candidates smile, "confidence", show of "strength", race, gender, electability, religion, etc. It's almost like rooting for their favorite sports team or picking a pony at the racetracks. Once they pick their pony based on initial impression, they feel insulted when you tell them about a better candidate.

We've been using tactics like logical reasoning and facts to try to get people on our side. That doesn't work too well on these people. How do we appeal to these people?

inflation, monetary policy....

seems like a stretch, but everyone speaks money.

Ask them this: "If you had a choice between substance and style for your President, which would you choose? Style isn't going to straighten out the mess this country is in, so think hard before you answer."
