Please join with me in celebrating Dr. Michael (later renamed Martin Luther) King's birthday by contributing today to Dr. Ron Paul's campaign for president. www.ronpaul2008.com

In the face of the main stream media snubbing his presence, Dr. Paul broke the all time single day fundraising record on December 16th, 2007 (Boston Tea Party anniversary) with $6.03Million. Today we hope to break that record. Dr. Paul has received more votes by Americans than Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, and now in Nevada he placed 2nd receiving more votes than John McCain and Mike Huckabee.

Our country is headed into a full blown recession due to our government's policies of nation building - and its insistance on spending what we don't have. Iraq alone is costing us about $1Trillion per year. We - the taxpayers - are being put into severe debt - by continuing to support administrations (Clinton, Bush) officials in office that fund over 700 military bases in 130 countries - while our own country is going bankrupt. We are borrowing $800Billion / year from China currently, paying interest, while the Fed Reserve is lowering interest rates to try to cover up the problem and printing more money which deflates the value of our dollar. Please listen to what David Walker - the head of the GAO (Government Accounting Office) - had to say about where we are headed - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-16u9x3tfE

Martin Luther King, Jr. said "A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defence than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death."

Ron Paul represents the freedoms and liberties that made our country great, he is a strict constitutionalist, and will 1) eliminate the income tax and IRS - and not replace it with any national sales or any other tax, 2) get us out of Iraq and reduce the size of the federal government by 40%, 3) restore the rights of each of us as individuals, 4) return to sound economic policies and monetary system, and more. Please read more at www.ronpaul2008.com and join with me in this great cause.

These are things that Martin Luther King Jr. stood for - and he encouraged the people to rise together in respectful yet civil disobedience against a tyrannical government.

"Those who give up essential liberties for temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
-Ben Franklin

"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty."
-Thomas Jefferson

"We Americans have no commission from God to police the world."

"Peace demands the most heroic labor and the most difficult sacrifice. It demands greater heroism than war."
-Thomas Jefferson

"Commerce with all nations, alliance with none, should be our motto."
-Thomas Jefferson
