Over 3,000 slim-jims of 4 different types will be distributed by me throughout my building here in South Florida. The building has 24 floors and about 10 apartments per floor. I am trying to get Ron Paul to win my prescient, and its very possible :)

Great work. If each of us tackled getting information out to just 500 of our neighbors, we'd be golden. As I posted in another thread, I spent about 2 hours in the freezing cold yesterday to hit about 250, I'll hit another 250 tonight. If I have the cash, I'll get another 1000 flyers printed and hit 500 more this weekend.

Time to for everyone to get their feet wet. Jump right into the mix and start getting information out there. Some people here wouldn't believe, but a significant number of voters don't have an internet connection, still, and an even greater number of those voters don't see Ron Paul's name online in the news and forums they read. If you want people to see the name, you need to give it to them, in print.

Thanks and good luck.

What flyer are you using to have printed up?

I had Kinkos print 500 of these: http://www.txstock.com/WelcomeToRonPaul.pdf ( I didn't create them, someone else did, thanks much to that person on this forum) - It was $32.10 for the 500, single-sided, black and white, 100% recycled paper prints. I then had a second page included which is the Ron Paul on the Issues flyer from the Ron Paul website http://www.txstock.com/RonPaul-Flyer-Issues.pdf which I had printed at kinkos for $64.20 for double-sided, black and white, 100% recycled paper prints. So my total cost was $96.30 and about 4 hours of time, not much. I live in a rather high density area where I could hit 250 houses in 2 hours - I bet there are some of us in even higher density areas that can hit 500 houses in 2 hours this way and some of us in low density areas that would hit 50 houses in 2 hours. My opinion is that it's best to hit the high density areas, get something in print to these people, and hope people in high density areas can help spread the word.

To get them out, I just rolled them together with the welcome letter on the outside and left them in door handles. I'll snap a picture of the bag of flyers I intend to hand out tonight before I leave the house and a picture of one in a door handle. As I said in my other post, I imagine that most of these flyers will end up right in the trash, but I figure that if people care about politics and were planning to vote, they'll give it a read and either change their vote or read up for more, or they have no intentions of voting and will just toss it in the trash, in which case no real loss.

Good for you! We can reach a lot of voters in our own individual families. I have converted five members of my family that are now Ron Paul supporters. I did it by stressing Ron Paul's message on the cause and cure of the economic problems we are facing. When I told them that voting for anyone other than Ron Paul was voting for a major depression, I got their attention. All true :D

These are great flyers -- one is designed for apathetic voters, and one is for people who vote but just need to be persuaded to vote Ron Paul: http://www.manofcommonsense.com/

Wow, I was about to ask for some simple suggestions to canvassing.. but it's all right here!

I signed up the other day to become a precinct leader in my area.. and found out threw a coordinator that my area is already being contested by another candidate's supporter(we assume), whom is even having our precinct's caucus at his house! I'm nervous since I'm the only one in our large group in my precinct, and I've never done anything like this before. This guy is an older gentleman whom served in the air force and is running for a local school board position, so he knows what he is doing. I assumed that there would be no one in this little area doing anything, but I was wrong and now have to really step up my efforts, and this thread helped boost my confidence A LOT.

Thanks all for the great info, and wish me luck!
