Hi guys,

I've just watched this clip on youtube...it doesn't seem to have many hits yet...but surely will soon:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDZLK8xXBRw

Its a soldier swapping the Army for the Ron Paul Revolution, he takes his uniform off and swaps for Ron Paull T shirt and cap! While speaking about his experiences in Iraq and other places. It's GOLD, the guy has so much courage. I only hope that he inspires others to do the same!

Imagine if more people do this, a collection of patriots "laying down their guns" so to speak...amazing.

Will they make an example of him to deter others? You'd think so....but do they really want to draw attention to this? I doubt it. This will be a great one to follow.

Thanks for reading, Dan

Why????

What is the "uniform code of military justice" he refers to? And how can it possibly overwrite freedom of speech?

Excellent vid btw!

Basicly they can't campaign or endorse a canidate in uniform. I wanted a RP Vet in uniform at ever caucas in Iowa when I was up there, but it violated the uniform code of military justice.

It sucks but he's gonna end up in prison, or worse.

It won't be as bad as you think. Take it from someone who saw people arrested for cocaine in my platoon. IF he goes to jail, it'll be for maybe a month or so, and it's just food and sleep---a welcome release. Either way, he'll get some pissed off bitching, which is just a daily occurrence that bounces off, some bullshit duty, a demotion to Private of some kind, and then the release he seeks from the Army. After three months, he'll be able to upgrade his discharge officially to Honorable.

He has a couple months of suck ahead of him, but he isn't ruining his life by protesting.

It sucks but he's gonna end up in prison, or worse.

I don't know that he'll get prison time. If he does I'll be emailing away to every newspaper & TV station I can find.

When his chain of command finds out about this, I expect he'll be punished under Article 15. A guess is loss of rank, 45 days extra duty & 45 days confinement to his barracks and 50% reduction in pay; followed by a less than honorable discharge.

This guy knows what he's doing. He has my complete respect.

I find it despicable that a commissioned soldier is not allowed to criticize the military.

Conversely, I believe it was unwise for the guy to do it in his uniform.

Guess your sig explains your post.

Well it was. There are legal ways to support Ron Paul. We don't need to go to jail or immolate ourselves in protest. And this will give more food for Hannity/Limbaugh/Savage crowd. Oh look he is a traitor, he is in jail because while voting for that isolationist RP, he disclosed his identity.

Shink
01-20-2008, 10:14 PM

I imagine he hadn't done some of the worst shit until after he did so OR he is one of those guys that get so used to the brainwashing that they see no other option.

Re-enlisting was never on the table for me. Fuck that.

There are alot of em out there are sick of it all. My bro-in-law who's served 2 Iraq tours in Army Nat'l Guard just told me today that he voted for Paul bc. of the other video http://youtube.com/watch?v=vcutxKY49Ic that i sent him. He said that he can't stand McCain and what that soldier was talking about he knows all too well. But he did say that he's torn between his serving his country and being a good citizen, that's why many like him have a hard time speaking out.

Publicly endorsing a presidential candidate in uniform for one.
