Otherwise, we place needless stress on the campaign's servers.

Also, use the direct donation link, rather than first going to the home page:
https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate

To watch the widget, there are several choices, including:

RPF's home page (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/)
Paul cash (http://paulcash.slact.net/)
Ron Paul Graphs (http://ronpaulgraphs.com/)

If you have Firefox, you might want to install this extension (http://ok4ronpaul.ashlux.com/wiki/index.php?title=Ron_Paul_Donations_Firefox_Extensi on), which shows the updated amounts in the browser's status bar.

Is someone going to post a widget so we can keep track of donations here?

Best site to follow minute by minute donations: http://paulcash.slact.net/

Anyway, I have a feeling that lack of bandwidth is not going to be the problem this time.

coboman, I felt the way you do - until yesterday and we won Nevada and beat Giuliani AGAIN.

Yea, I know we came in second in Nevada, but in terms of delegates we likely topped Romney; so that has made me feel much more hopeful. PLUS, we have had a lot more new members joining RPF since December 16th, they're not all trolls or moles, AND since December 16th, more than half of all donations have been from new donors.

All that is making me think that this MLK fundraiser will do better than I had originally thought.

We will find out soon enough, my friend.

The first minutes are decisive.

Judging by the graphs of November 5th and December 16th, I estimate we got about...

$100,000 in the first 15 minutes of November 5th
$200,000 in the first 15 minutes of December 16th

I'll be honest with you, they should have been prepared if they knew a money bomb was to come. Any shortcomings from the past should be solved by now. Failure to do so is showing the campaign is doing poorly.

You're failing to take into account the other campaigns that might want to overload his servers. When this happened the first couple of times, only us and a few outsiders were looking in.

bump! We would've had more donations on Tea Party day had they had a larger server.
