I've heard of a grassroots effort to pass out material at Mardi Gras, the problem is that everyone else's supporters are gonna be doing the same thing. This is why I've come up with the idea for the Ron Paul drink koozie. I hear they like doing a little drinking down at Mardi Gras, and I know that when I'm holding a beer and my hands get cold I'd put an Adolf Hitler koozie on my drink if someone handed me one. Enough people walking around Mardi Gras with these little koozies looks like everyone supports Ron Paul which in turn creates the band wagon effect

Trust me, this is a much better idea then the slim jim thing, someone in LA should get on this ASAP, just tell us who to donate to.

Sounds practical and useful, so they won't end up all over the street.

So um....where do we find these koozies?

I'm sure they are reserved for women who perform lude acts on bourbon street. ;)
Koozies on a string of giant green and gold beads will be worth its weight in gold. :D

Probably should go with the collapsible koozies, more likely to be pocketed and re-used. They're only .50 cents apiece. When is Mardi Gras? Post to LA meetups, do this quick!

I think the parades start around the first, fat tuesday is on the 5th. Does anyone have an idea of where and who we need to submit this proposal to?

This is a brilliant idea. I see one for .39cents but it shows .42 cents for 5k ordered.

If there were sufficient numbers ordered it might drop the price. The key would be the design. Need to get the Vote Dr. Paul for President out now. Revolution is not going to cut it this late in the game. It would be nice if the company turned out to be a Ron Paul supporter.

We need to start asking for the vote.

If we nail LA tomorrow night, this would help spread the word faster and could be used around the country.

One further suggestion.

Either the mods or you should get this into the grassroots thread with a sticky to get more attention and input fast. Needs a sticky in the main section where more are watching. You are also more likely to get design help.

If it is going to happen we want if done before the other camps find out about this idea.

i set up pauldigras.com

We almost have $950 that could handle our backup flight plan.

I just called a Koozie company locally and they said the order would have to be placed by tomorrow. Can we raise $2000 by tomorrow for this effort? I don't think. It's been hard just to raise $900 for this air corps thing. Our goal was 2800 but that isn't going to be possible.

I can do that artwork what do we want it to say? We can put the Ron Paul logo I have on pauldigras.com on it then cover some issues on both sides

We'd probably need to raise at least $1300 to order 2500 of them. Companies say they can have it by Mardi Gras day but we need to order by tomorrow.

Let me know, and i'll cut off fund raising for the flight after we reach $950 (to pay for the backup plan, of 2 hours with just letters saying RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT) then the rest raised can go towards koozie.

I have updated the site. WIth the last $50 donation we can afford the fly-over and some koozies. Start donating. I will have a mock-up of the design tonight. Hopefully we can order by Wednesday!

I just posted all over the forums, my meetups, and the Daily Paul, and called Chris Lawton and told him to post (he posts to meetups all over the country).
