This is the response I recieved from Robert Duggar from the Gun Owners of America concerning an official endorsement of Dr. Paul.

Thank you for the note about Ron Paul. You should know that GOA has not
yet endorsed any presidential candidate in the 2008 race.

While Larry Pratt has PERSONALLY contributed to Paul’s campaign, GOA has
not jumped behind any particular candidate because there are three
pro-gun candidates in the race. We are a pro-gun group, not a political
campaign or a party. Hence, we have to be good stewards of the money
that our members send us, and it would not be appropriate to single out
one pro-gun candidate over the others.

Please note: Because GOA is a Second Amendment organization, we will NOT
be looking at other issues that might lead someone like yourself to
support Ron Paul over the other pro-gun candidates. As stewards of the
contributions that gun owners send us, we are limited to looking at
Second Amendment issues only.

There is no doubt you have picked a fine candidate to support in Ron
Paul and that he is one of the best supporters of the Second Amendment
out there; we have always said so. See:
http://gunowners.org/pres08/paul.htm. I'm sure you are aware that we
have worked closely with him in the past on various pieces of
legislation, and we certainly expect to do so in the future.

Also, if you visit the two URLs below, you will see that the Paul
campaign is featuring a personal endorsement by Mr. Pratt:

1. http://www.ronpaul2008.com/uploads/pdf/74.pdf
2. http://www.ronpaul2008.com/files/Paul-Storyboard-1007.pdf

So I reiterate: GOA has not endorsed any presidential candidate as yet.
It is just too early in the campaign to do so, plus there is more than
one strong Second Amendment candidate in this aspiring presidential bunch.

I have passed your comments to my supervisor.

I was hoping that a few others would send a message to the GOA concerning an offcial endorsement of Dr. Paul.
