All I've heard is they froze the account that everyone was sending money to for the nh recount (the granny warriors account, I think it was)

What happened is the ChipIn widget everybody was donating to for the New Hampshire recount, run by PayPal, was flagged by some asshole. :mad:

Apparently some one donated to the ChipIn, and then flagged it as suspicious. So PayPal froze the ChipIn and the Granny Warriors had to basically beg and plead with them to look into the case immediately and see that it was a legitimate ChipIn and not some scam.

PayPal appologized 3 or 4 times to the Granny Warriors and unfroze it just in time.

It should be noted, however, that PayPal is owned by Ebay, and the CEO of Ebay, Meg Whitman, is on Mitt Romney's Steering Committee.

They froze it because it was such a large amount of money that the grannywarriors wanted to withdraw at one time. I use PayPal for many things, and have had no trouble.

Just use a credit card instead of paypal
