How many bases does the USA have around the world? Does anyone have a link to some government site that shows it?

I need a link that backs it. Preferably something from gov. I told someone the 130 figure and they ask to prove it. We can convice a lot of people here folks with the right link. please help

The 130 may, or may not be correct. It is a figure that is widely quoted from a book by Chalmers Johnson called Nemesis: The Last Days of the American Republic. I have no idea if that figure is accurate.
If you look through the DOD's Base Structure Report (BSR) FY 2007 Baseline, they list major non-US bases but the smaller installations, if you read the fine print, are listed as "other".
