Official campaign email that was sent out late last night:

The state of Louisiana has seemingly always been ignored by presidential campaigns. All the attention is focused on Iowa, New Hampshire, Michigan, South Carolina and the advent of "Super Tuesday".

Somewhere in the fray we get overlooked. I am pleased to announce the end of this pattern: Dr. Ron Paul is coming to Louisiana on Monday!

His three city tour will start in Shreveport and then head south. After a stop in Baton Rouge for a large rally, he will continue on to New Orleans.

Shreveport
Dr. Paul will be in Shreveport from 10:30 until 11:30, Monday morning.

He will be at the Holiday Inn (Financial Plaza), 5555 Financial Plaza, Shreveport, LA 71129. The hotel can be reached at 318-688-3000.

Baton Rouge
Dr. Paul will be at the Bellmont (7370 Airline Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA) Monday afternoon from 1-2:45pm. The Bellmont can be reached at 225-359-9900.

New Orleans
Dr. Paul will be at the Hilton New Orleans Airport, 901 Airline Drive, Kenner, LA 70062 (504-469-5000) from 3:30 to 4:30pm.

As you can see, the schedule is really tight. So, I appreciate your patience if we experience some slight schedule modifications due to unforeseen things like flight delays due to weather, traffic, etc.

We are very excited and extremely privileged to have Dr. Paul visit Louisiana the day before our statewide caucus. Please spread the word to your friends, family, and co-workers about Dr. Paul's visit.

Let's be sure to give him a hospitable welcome to our state!

Sincerely,

Andrew Axsom

Edited to add: PLEASE don't flood Andrew with calls guys; I'm sure he's insanely busy what with everything going on. Contact your local meetup Mod, or your district captain for any basic questions.

Several things,

Look at this for NV,

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/state/#NV

Note the age of the voters we won. This is what we need to do in the rest of the states. It can be done. 45% age 60 plus. 27% 45-59. It is the delegates that count and not the Mitt vote.

Also, on the NV thread I picked up in Louisiana, we have ambushed the state caucus by having a full slate of delegates in every precinct. Closed caucus. Mitt can't buss in people.

He has been calling our delegates and trying to get them to switch. HA!

Not sure at all how our primary vote will go; we've all been focusing mostly on the caucus (for very, very good reasons). But we're still trying to get as large a % as possible in the primary, just for morale, fundraising, & legitimacy purposes.

I agree with what you say.

The good news is Mitt knows we are likely to take more delegates in NV and all the rest have to be worried about Louisiana now.

I am hoping we do well in Louisiana so the news helps us here in AZ against McCain and in CA.

All of the slate in Louisiana need to be at the caucus, even if you have to show up on a stretcher.

Good.. I am glad he is not in FLorida.. He would waste his time and money there.. Better to campaign elsewhere where he has an actual chance

Good move

Oooh! I wish I could come out for that (we're in FL). I'm a SELA native.

Thanks for posting the info on NV. One thing that is blaring out at me as a Christian is the lack of people with Religion that vote for Dr. Paul. We have to start figuring that out. As a Christian I think Dr. Paul's stance is the best. People don't want God shoved down their throat.

Bump for the evening crew. I'd hate for anyone in Louisiana to miss this due to late notice.
