That piece of shit site has never been "glorious." It has always been a mouthpiece for warmongering, "moral policing" and big federal government.

Why don't you go to Hannity's forum. You will fit in nicely there.

We already have the internet. We need to get offline assets, think local.

The Free Republic is not even worthy enough for me to use as a substitute for toilet paper.

Back about 8 years ago, it was a conservative website.

Their quarterly fund drive is now at 43%. They used to have it knocked out in a week, and now they beg for almost a month. Guess when you trash the Buchananites, Libertarians, libertarians, closed-border enthusiasts, and anyone else that had a hint of backbone, there's just not the enthusiasm for sending cash JimRob's way. It's a shame, really...that guy put together a site that a huge portion of today's highly motivated internet conservatives cut their teeth on. They just aren't allowed to post there any more.

Hey!

I discovered Ron Paul back in 2001 from a post on FreeRepublic.com. There's always been a small band of real conservative people on that forum. I heard about FreeRepublic.com during the 2000 election controversy from a Maryland talk show host who's now a big Ron Paul supporter.
