Hillary has always been the supposed successor. The plan was always for her to run when she didnt have to oppose Gore or an incumbent Republican. McCain was basically promised the nomination when he turned down Kerry's VP offer. These parties are so undemocratic, its no wonder the founders sternly warned us against them.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that a hostile takeover of the Republican Party may not be the answer. It has too much dirty history; I think we need to start our own party and make sure it meets the following conditions:

-conventions are totally transparent, and all deliberations are broad casted online
-no "superdelegates". Every delegate must be earned via popular vote in a state primary
-no diebold in the primaries
-corruption will not be tolerated. Everyone must must sign a pledge to uphold the most stringent ethical standards, and anyone who does not meet this expectation will be asked to leave the party.
-The party platform will be the United States Constitution
