The west is pretty much our home base. We'll need to increase our wins in other states as well, including south and midwest.

I think we should focus on CA and the open primary states.

CA for sure, its a good shot. WA probably as well cause my relatives in Seattle say that the city loves them some Ron Paul.

Texas and the west; Texas is my home state...I went home for the holidays and I did some canvassing and found that although he does have alot of support in places like Austin, San Antonio, and Houston; people barely knew about him in west texas. West Texas is Bush country...but alot of people were very receptive to Ron Paul's message. This is the question I got asked the most: "Why don't we ever see him on the news channels?" So sad. So, see...it's up to us to be foot soldiers. We have to get out there. This is not an "option;" it's a MUST. I live in Phoenix now. It's sort of the same situation here. I know the support here and in Tuscon is somehwat strong...but we still have the people who will support McCain just because that's the name they know. Just my 2 pennies.

BTW, quick fact: G.W. Bush's childhood home is in the town I grew up in. They had moved the house to the university campus for some odd reason. Anyways...the second day I was back, someone set that house on fire and it did some major damage. Many people I spoke with down there were disenchanted with Bush. Hmmm. o.0

Focus on the Super Tuesday States.

Yes, Texas is very receptive of Ron Paul. The biggest problem here in centeral texas (I live inbetween SA and Austin) is we have alot of Bible Belt people, hard-core jesus goers who eat up Huckabee like the shit he sells is pure Jesus Juice. But, they are becoming more and more the minority, so, eh :)

focus on southwest/west california, arizona, colorado, oklahoma, louisiana

or focus on other candidates' strong states: tennessee, arizona, arkansas, new york, new jersey, utah. these are states where no one else would be campaigning much to pick up some 2nd place finishes.

or gamble on winning Maine for momentum going into super tuesday.

Focus on one state only, California. We have to put all our effort into that state. After Florida is over, all the media hype will turn to national polls and California. It'll be the only real chance to breakout and get media attention.

Florida is mostly a lost cause.

We need to focus on Super Tuesday states:

I think it would be safest to focus on states that aren't statewide WTA, although I think if Giuliani doesn't win Florida, we'll get an official endorsement from Howard Stern and we'll have a good shot at taking New York (101 delegates).
