No one really knows the details of the plan yet. The legislation still has to pass through before anything is official.

Rangel was on MSNBC yesterday and said they've been talking about tis for weeks.

I heard today that they are looking at a pre 4/15 disbursement. Can't find the cite though.

Talk about inflation.... what will giving EVERYONE more money... it will devalue our money EVEN more...

He needs to fix the problem, not hasten the effect. 800! woo hoo, people in trouble can make it ONE more month...

But yes, it will be awesome to fund the revolution!!!
On the other hand, it would be smart to take that 800 and go buy some gold...

This is a good idea. Something official should be made if we get them.

Don't pay off your Citibank card with it. The money will go to China to pay off that 10 billion they just borrowed.

Think about it, $800 times 50,000 Ron Paul Supperters = $40 Million for Ron Paul campaign! Someone should start a website taking "pledges" to donate their $800 check =)

Tax cuts are fantastic IMO, but not if we don't stop spending like crazy overseas. I'd rather they keep my $800 and bring home troops in Germany, Japan, South Korea...

the first thing I thought of when I heard about the 800 bucks was donating it to Ron Paul. :-) Maybe we can make a money bomb day of it.

One is in the works. Should be up by tomorrow. Trouble is, no details yet on when checks will be coming, so it will be hard to set a date for a money bomb.

From what I've heard we wouldn't be getting the checks till June. As far as the Republican nomination goes, it will all be said and done by then. So it's possible Ron Paul won't even be running by then. But if he is then sure sent him the money.

Otherwise, my $800 is going into Gold. Let's face it. This "stimulus package" is only going to further weaken the economy unless congress got their spending spree under control and they stop borrowing money that has to be created out of thin air. That isn't going to happen. They will give the money out as an election year bribe (that's all it is!) but keep spending like drunken sailors which will negate any benefit the tax rebates gave us. But the good news is, use it to YOUR benefit.

If I receive $800 it will actually help me in the short term. I'd be able to stock my pantry (which has been mostly empty for the last 2 years) and repair my computer!
