they don't even know what a repub. is.

A party is shredded when it is pulled away from where it has been rooted for decades. And if I am not mistaken, it is the neo-cons who have been pulling the Rep. party away from it's roots for the last decade or so.

Well sometimes you have to tear down a termite infested house and build a new one.
The GOP has done this to themselves.

Blame it on Bush Freepers.

If Bush had been competent, this would have never happened crybabies.

I detest the GOP, same as all other "political parties."

In case some don't already know...I am an anarchist. When Ron "jokes" that there are a few anarchists that support him...he is being honest.

JMO: "political parties" are every one crawling with the lowest possible scum, these are people who are completely devoid of personal integrity. They play politics - they are motivated by personal gain - they desire to control others - they have zero respect for liberty.

If Dr. Paul's run "shreds" the GOP...then every last dime I've spent will be worth it.

In fact, because of this single thread, I will now encourage my friends and relatives to donate $100 each for the MLK money bomb.

Excellent! What's wrong with being an anarchist and how did that get to be such a negative? Most that I know just completely understand liberty and seriously just want to be left the hell alone by the government. Pretty self-sufficient, they are.

As you can guess I disagree, I think this election is proof that the GOP is in good shape. I have no doubt the GOP nominee will take the General Election... the Republican party is still the party of Freedom and the Constitution.

Does anyone really care what Freepers are saying? The Republican "Party" was shredded YEARS ago and consumed by big government socialists.

There was a rather large group of anarchist in NH that were too idealogical to even register and vote for RP but would go to sign waves etc. Seems to me that is counter productive. These people were smart and all, i can't see how they rationalize advocating for him actively without voting!

It's a matter of principle to many anarchists, and something that I myself struggle with.

I have not registered to vote as of yet, but I intend to do so.

Freerepublic is an increasingly irrelevant backwater. JR's magical conversion to Neoconservatism in 2000 or whenever it was signaled the long, slow death of what was an amazing site. An unconscionable waste of potential.

I agree. FR does not matter anymore. All the good people there have been banned. They did not fit the agenda.

The Republican Party was not shredded by Ron Paul supporters, but by the RNC, the so-called GOP members of Congress, and President George Bush. Under President Bush and the GOP Congress through 2006:

1. the national debt more than doubled to $9 Trillion,

2. unfunded state mandates were enacted (ie. the no child left behind act),

3. government entitlements were expanded (ie. medicare prescription act),

4. the size of federal government increased,

5. federal government spending increased by several hundred billion dollars a year (ie. the unnecessary war in Iraq),

6. civil liberties were callously discarded,

7. GOP members of Congress were caught taking bribes, chasing little male pages through the halls of congress, soliciting sex in public bathrooms, or having affairs with female staffers who conveniently turn up dead.

For the GOP establishment to blame Ron Paul supporters for its demise during these primary elections is like O.J. Simpson blaming Nicole Simpson for forcing him to murder her.

FR is every bit as establishment as FOX News these days. If there are still any RP supporters over there, they can't be very active. That RLC Caucus forum gets a new post only once in a blue moon.

They shreaded it when they tried to keep everyone from speaking, and abandoned all principles.

One good thing so far - freerepublic is rapidly fading as a forum, while we continue to gain.

The main problem with anarchy, from the outside looking in, is that they tend to be associated with violent rebellion.

There was a sucessful anarchy in Europe in the first part of the last century. The Socialists literally moved in and slaughtered them.

RSLudlum

No we're not shredding the party. The other candidates started shooting the party in the foot once they began attacking the only candidate that had a chance to draw the larger pool of voters (democrats) over to the Repub side in the General Election. At least that's how i see it.

A lot of people tell me that they fear anarchy because they fear living in some kind of wild chaos...

...where a small elite group of very powerful thugs gets to boss everyone around...

and that group of powerful thugs will demand money from the people, and claim it is for things like 'protection'...

and that group of powerful thugs will send men with guns if the people dare to refuse to pay...

Sounds strangely familiar ;)
