His votes don't look large, but they could have put Ron Paul clearly into 2nd place today had he gotten them.

His votes may be small but his influence was bigger. A lot of people have been staying out of this race hoping Fred or Duncan would come through for them.

With their choices Mitt, Huck, or Paul, they will come to us if we reach out to them. Free trade is going to be their big issue next to the war... they prefer unbalanced trade that favors the US.

Too bad we can't get an endorsement from Hunter.

hunter's supporters are one issue illegal immigration voters.

with ron paul's record on illegal immigration and various anti-illegal immigration groups endorsing him, we are poised to scoop up many of hunter's voters.

imo find the hunter supporters asap.

No, they are not, or they would have been Tancredo voters. A lot of them care as much or more about protectionist trade policies and social conservatism with the full force of law behind it.

I'm in DFW which still has one of the largest pro-Hunter crowds thanks to the treatment he got from the party for the Texas Straw Poll. I've talked to more than my share of Hunter supporters. He was possibly the least Paul-like of the field. That doesn't mean there's not people here we can get, and yeah immigration was one of their big issues, but most of those people weren't actually voting for him yet,, they were using the Fred/Ron/Duncan field as an excuse to wait and see. Their options are rapidly dwindling. They're down to choosing to believe Mitt isn't lying to them when they know better, or voting for Ron despite whatever their issue with him may be (foreign policy or confusing federalism with libertinism, mostly).
