That seems very small to me.

Another thing is where did they poll these people? If it was in an area that is heavily Mormon than the results will be inaccurate. They would have to get a really mixed sample from all over NV for this to be even remotely better than guesswork.

So when Politico says "votes" they really mean delegates?

I just hope Paul isn't overestimated by the entrance/exit polls, as usual.

There seems to be no doubt that Romney is number 1, but the spot for 2nd seems to up for grabs.

The numbers reported by CNN, Politco and the Nevada GOP are votes! They are not state delegates, that's a mistake. We don't know the state delegates yet. They haven't had the county delegates yet.

No, it's gotta be votes. So few precincts reporting. If it were delegates, there would like 100,000 delegates when it was all over.

Delegates matter. Wait until the end and everything is tallied.

How would they even know who the delegates are going to support yet? Wouldn't it just be an estimate based on the straw poll?

No different than the survey size of any other "scientific" poll.

It's usually always anywhere from 500-1000 people.

Politico: "Nevada Republicans report the results of a straw poll."

I'm pretty sure nationwide party rules for Republican caucuses is to report VOTES, not delegates.

Dems report delegates.
