View Full Version : Vote and Poll fixing...

I got this idea after reading the post about that rigged Utah newspaper poll posted on this forum...
I'm watching these results from the polls and when I see Ron Paul getting 1-2% of the votes or less, I just don't buy it. Especially when the other 2nd tier bottom feeders making no waves are getting more votes. Call this a premature notion but I'm starting to think these things are biased and possibly rigged. With all the progress being made, how can he still be barely scratching the surface?
An idea for the motivated individual(s)... A web page created solely with the intention of displaying the names and E-mail addresses (phone numbers as well, but undisclosed to the public) of Ron Paul voters (at least to start)... sort of like a pledge.
With a phone number provided and IP addresses limited to 1 per, perhaps the authenticity of the votes can be validated.
I find it hard to believe that our voting system structure is genuine and authentic. Or will be if Ron Paul starts building up steam. This concept can also bring together calls to action if need be.
Ron Paul supporters know who the others are. The concept could be spread in the same fashion the Ron Paul message is spread.
Is this concept a far reach?

Yes, something along the lines of a petition like that but more easily accessed and prioritized. A way in which the Ron Paul supporters will know to comply with along with their so called "official" votes. It could be used for the unofficial polls as well as the main ones.

well, listen.. with murdoch trying to buy the DOW.. the WHOLE media world is owned by a select few.... so, do their interests reside with ours?
My biggest fear is that Ron Paul does great in IOWA..... but guess what? Those electronic diebold machines.... are used, and they were PROVEN to be hackable and NOT tamper proof... so, you know... If you wanted to save a GLOBAL agenda that spanned decades and encapsulated BILLION dollar businessess..... what woudl you do? Rig things...

I agree fully... but with that being said, what other method could be used that would ensure and validate the votes? That is, other than making public the choices from the voters and citizens themselves?
I think at some point this is going to be an issue.

In fact, given the immense popularity of Ron Paul on the internet, it shouldn't be any problem with the tech saavy voters... that is, if it can come to be known as standard procedure.

well, you tell me WHY these machines that were PROVEN to be hackable and actually probably "tampered" with in the last election, why are they still being used???????
Because to have hackable ballots serves somebodies purpose.... see, this way 'they' can select who they 'want' to move forward and who they dont..
to me.. it is VERY obvious what will happen... but if it is OBVIOUS of ron paul's support and if gets the shaft..... well then, things need to be dealt with.
they should just do paper ballots... OR, do both... electronic AND paper... and they have to match...

That's exactly the thing I'm talking about. Now how come it took any sort of digging to locate it?
Something like this should be a staple in the campaign.

I read some about the actual process of voting in the ames straw poll.
After having your residency verified, they dye your thumb, you mark your choice on a sheet of scantron paper (fill in the oval), and feed it into the machine.
There will be a paper trail, and after the initial scan everything will be audited.
It seems pretty respectable, and there will be alot of people milling around all over. If they tampered with a scantron somehow there would be evidence, and that would be a terrible debacle for the iowa gop. Why would they risk that if they don't expect us to get any significant support?

Yeah, I was promoting that site months ago but nobody seemed to grab onto it, including the creator, so I just let it pass.
