I have a pre-written letter for any Precinct Leaders interested in using it. Just PM me with your email.

I have also made a flyer http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b292/epiphany809/ronfly.jpg

Those who have chosen to do letter writing as a Precinct Leader, first I say THANK YOU for helping out the rest of us Precinct Leaders around the country in this effort.

Of course, postage may become a problem for those low on funds. At .41 cents per stamp, mailing to over 1,000 people may become costly. But don't worry, there's still a way!

(FYI: The cost of mailing 1 letter and 2 slim jims is still just 41 cents)

Keep in mind you only really need one letter per house, not one letter per voter. Some houses that have 4 voters would be an extra 3 stamps that aren't necessary.

I will show a sample of how just 2 books of stamps (40 stamps for $16.40) can help spread the word. Of course, if you can afford more, I recommend sending out as many letters as possible. We need Ron Paul to be a household name by Super Tuesday.

First, imagine this as your precinct if you don't become a Precint Leader. Blue dots represent people who know who Ron Paul is.

Not good, right? This is your precinct if you become a Leader and write letters, house by house down the list given to you.

That's some good blue dottage, but it sure is a small area.

Which is why I propose, that if you are low on funds, send to random addresses using the list the Precinct Leader page gives to you (make sure to mark the address as "contacted" in the notes section of the page). Instead of concentrating the message, spread it out, to get this:

From there, people may end up telling friends and neighbors, and who knows how far the message would spread.

Just an idea for those low on funds, or just any Precinct Leader in general.

Don't forget to focus on Independent and Republican voters more than Democrats. Party affiliation is given on the Precinct Leader database. Democrats cannot vote for Ron Paul in the primaries. Save the Democrat addresses for the general election.

Now is the time to rise

Hey! I have a question about my walking list.... I am assuming that a higher number (closer to 100) is the most conservative. Should I start by sending the people with a number in the 90's a letter with conservative slim jim, and then move to the 80's and so forth...

Thanks!

Since we don't really know the definition of "conservative", I wouldn't go by that. "Conservative" could mean the new conservative definition of pro war, big government, etc. I'd say just send it to any Republican or Independent.

Very nice post. Your points came across very well with the maps.

Awesome. Just bought a couple reams of paper, and 500 envelopes, and I have a stack of slim jims.

It took a bit of excel reformatting to generate a mail merge list in Word to print 500 envelopes, but it's not too bad.

Now I'm debating on color or just a b/w letter with the slim jims.

Also there are bulk rates available from the post office...I'll be exploring those and will try to report back. It gets pretty cheap (<$0.20) if they are machine sortable envelopes in the same zip code.
