Pembroke -
Pembroke - Too bad the cable news channels weren’t there for this debate.
Near the voting registration table outside the cafeteria at Pembroke High School last Friday (Jan. 11), Jim Touhey was talking about his favorite presidential candidate, Texas Rep. Ron Paul.
“He’s being smeared by Fox News,” said Touhey. “Ron Paul’s the only real Republican. He’s anti-government.”
Standing nearby, Nicole Donohue, who likes Arizona Sen. John McCain and former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, begged to differ.
“He calls himself a Republican, and he doesn’t have any Republican ideals at all,” she said of Paul.
For the next several minutes, Touhey and Donohue loudly debated, seemingly oblivious to the onlookers gathered around.
“If we pull out of the Middle East right now, what’s going to happen?” Donohue argued. “They’re going to blow each other up, and they’re going to be (ticked) at us.”
“They’re (ticked) at us, anyway,” Touhey responded. “John McCain wants to stay there 100 years. It’s going to kill our kids.”
In the end, the students parted smiling. Touhey, 18, had registered in time to vote in the Feb. 5 Massachusetts presidential primary earlier in the day, saying he finds politics fascinating and in need of new ideas. He was wearing a T-shirt that said “Ron Paul Revolution” backwards.
“We’re being fed the same garbage for the past 10 years,” he said. “It’s obviously not working.” ......
See page for the rest of the article! We must get this out! For Ron PAul!

This is huge because my town of 25,000 reads this paper more than it watches the news, so what we need to do is go to the link and comment on the article so that we can grow Ron Paul support in my Precinct! let's get to it people!
