View Full Version : Is talking about the NAU the same thing as fear mongering?

I've been reading about the North American Union and it seems (at least to me) that while the evidence for such an endeavor is present in our society today is legit, I feel that anything coming to fruition seems unrealistic.

You better believe it's coming and when it's here the majority of sheeple will not even care. This video isn't about the NAU but it shows the apathy of the American people.

I think the NAU plan is in the works and I agree that most americans won't care - most are apathetic.

That said, there does seem to be an element of "fear mongering" that is used on all sides in the effort to advance their own views.

I guess it's because fear works?

Americans would be apathetic if only because such a transformation would take years and not be instantaneous.

The problem, in my mind, with the criticism of fear mongering is similar to criticisms of the slippery slope argument. Sometimes the criticisms are valid, but sometimes they aren't. And frequently, one can only tell if the slippery slope argument or fear mongering was legitimate after the fact, when we have the advantage of hindsight.

There are ways to get an idea of whether fear tactics are justly used, or illegitimately employed, such as looking at how people use the power that they receive from people who agree with the call for fear. If they use it to actually address the issue that they claim is worthy of fearing, then they might be legitimate (if perhaps misdirected, depending on the issue they think is a problem). But if they use the power for other purposes, then it should be clear that something not right is up.

Why do you think it is unrealistic? We are going down the same path the EU went down. By the time the people truly understood what was happening, it was too late for them to stop it.

It is already happening now, by stealth. Why do you think they refuse to close the borders and take care of the immigration problem?
Why is land being sold to foreign companies so they can build a north American superhighway. The states are very aware of it, and some are choosing to opt out.

Here is a good website about it and the Amero.

Here's a CNBC interview about the Amero:

Here's a Newsweek article suggesting that the SPP is the way to "solve illegal immigration"

Fear mongering is forcing the people into doing something they don't want or wouldn't necessarily do in ordinary times. Most Americans want to remain Americans, not North Americans. This is a warning, be cautious about this and be aware there are those out their that wish to see the borders erased.

It is fear mongering. That are a lot of people, many of them in the liberty movement, that cannot find any news so bad that they can't make it even worse than it is. The NAU is one example. There is no government program to hand over all sovereignty. There is NAFTA, there is a highway, and there is occasional talk about a common currency, but there is no NAU.

The evil we should be fighting is NAFTA and CAFTA, which are NOT a free trade agreements. The evil we should be fighting is the "superhighway", because it is unnecessary and a waste of taxes.

Wait until the highway is finished.

CFR directed Fabian Socialists Indoctrination has certainly domesticated most Americans; they are unable to identify Treason as Treason.
