Where is the money for this package coming from? I hope they didn't print the money for that.

I think for a real stimulus package Congress should fully fund all of the Ron Paul grassroots efforts.

No, Bush is personally funding this package.

I think it is an advance on your tax return for 2009. That's what the 2001 package was.

But not matter WHAT it comes from, just give it to RON!

Well, they technically ARE if you give it to the campaign!

Bush is proposing tax cuts, which would be a good idea if we had a semblance of a balanced budget. The government is not going to reduce the amount of money it spends, so the proposed decrease in income (tax cut) will result in higher foreign debt and printing more money. By the way, the 'stimulus package' is only $140 Billion.

I guess they figure that since inflation is at a 17 year high, it is high-time for a paper printing party!

I'm pretty sure the refund checks they send out to taxpayers will be an advance on your tax refund for 2009. So in reality, it's not all THAT irresponsible, at least as far as printing more money out of thin air is concerned.

the checks won't be coming till at least June or July and will only be between $300-$600 a person

WOW THATS ABOUT AS STIMULATING AS A FEMALE TEACHER SCRATCHING THE CHALKBOARD WITH 3' LONG FINGERNAILS

Since they are reducing revenue by 140 billion, and not reducing spending by 140 billion, they will be running additional deficit amounts of 140 billion. If the deficit goes up, the debt must go up as money is borrowed to pay the bills.

I'm gonna coin a new term here, hope it goes viral:
"VAPOR DOLLARS" (As opposed to "paper dollars")
That's what will be handed out. They're vapor because they're printed out of thin air and will be worth just as much on delivery.
