Hello folks. I know that a lot of people keep track of how much money Ron Paul is raising. And that's good. But there's one thing that everybody CAN and SHOULD do for Dr. Paul. Sign up to be a precinct captain today. It's free, it's easy, and it is of vital importance to the campaign. It's been reported that in the Michigan primaries the precincts that had captains working them did twice as good for Ron Paul as those that did not. So what are you waiting for? If you are not up for the responsibility of being a precinct captain by yourself, find a precinct where someone is already working and sign up for that same precinct. You will then get access to that person's email. Contact him or her and offer your services. (Personally I could use someone to help me stuff more door hangers, put up signs, make calls, or walk the precinct with me.) Don't think that you have to do EVERYTHING yourself, but if Dr. Paul is going to have a victory in your area on primary day YOU MUST DO SOMETHING!

Ron Paul said he needs 180,000 precinct captains. We won't reach that number just with meetup members but we can at least get halfway. As we work or precincts and find other supporters our meetup and precinct captain numbers will grow. Plus if we work hard now some of us may finish our areas and can then move on to another precinct. Again this is of vital importance. We MUST grow our precinct captain numbers to have a shot a this.

Regards,

John M. Drake

Don't artificially increase it. Only sign up if its legit, not to make a false sense of achievment.

I just tried signing up an hour ago (my state is a very late state in the primaries), and the page is down on HQ..

I am a precinct captain in OH. I have set goals of getting RP commitments from 10% of registered voters, in my case this would be 80 people, getting 20 of those 80 to volunteer and getting 2 of the 20 to take on new precincts. Also we are trying to find 2 new precinct leaders each (currently we have 4 precinct leaders) among our friends and co-workers. Then have each of them find 1 more.

There are 35 precincts in my county and currently only 4 precinct captains. Our goal is to get one for every precinct before Super Tuesday. This will give us 1 month to work the entire county.

I am not sure if this is obtainable but you need a plan and goals in order to succeed.

I mean seriously, what good are the money bombs if there aren't any RP voters at the polls? One Precinct Captain can potentially find as little as 500 new RP voters or generate enough RP support to influence 15000 people to vote for Paul. That's A LOT of power from one person. Imagine 180,000 Captains working in full-force across the nation and then you see why it should have priority over campaign donations.
