I Just Signed On As A Precinct Leader, And I Think We Need A Precinct Leader Bomb

From what I've read and heard from other Paulites, dedicated Precinct Leaders are unmeasurably valuable to GOTV drives and overall cultivation of Dr. Paul's message. It is the very heart and soul of grassroots-ism to work in your own community to spread the message of liberty, and I can say from personal experience, there are a lot of communities all over the U.S. that are ripe for that message.

I say we need a Precinct Leader Bomb! The money is wonderful, and let's keep it coming. While that's going on, let's also rack up the Precinct Leader sign-ups. Let me tell you, I was weary of such a committment, thinking it was just too "official" for me. IT IS A GREAT WAY TO GET TOOLS TO FIGHT THE STATUS QUO!!! Calling lists, maps, addresses, numbers, fellow Paulites in your area, and the list goes on of what can be to your disposal to go along with the passion and the intellectual drive to converse with your neighbors about an America with a President Ron Paul.

Please, anyone with similar views or invested interest share your stories, and keep this thread bumped. We need more leaders!

OK now that I have your attention. This is the time to sign up! We have had bombs, blimps and banners. Videos, phone calls, and letters. Sign waves, marches and tea parties. All to spread Ron Paul's message of FREEDOM, PEACE!, SECURITY! And we have done a AMAZING JOB! They told us it couldn't be done, and we said "WATCH US!" They paid no attention when we broke records. We Pulled in over 10% in a CAUCUS and FOX WON'T EVEN TALK TO US!

Now lets set another NEW RECORD. I'm not sure it even exists, but we will just have to set the bar then. LARGEST VOLUNTEER CAMPAIGN. The money raised chart can become a volunteer chart as we watch the numbers go up. The total on the site right now (which you can see if you sign up) is at 3005 7:52 AM EST Jan 8th 2008.

The only thing you need to do is sign up with the campaign to be a PRECINCT LEADER, Ron Paul Grassroots Central (http://voters.ronpaul2008.com/grassroots/signup.php?r=sharpsteve2003@yahoo.com) and get others to sign up. Other than that, just keep doing what your doing spreading the message of FREEDOM, PEACE!, SECURITY! and sign in to update your progress. This way the campaign can know what has been covered, and what needs to be done, who is a supporter, and who wants to join the fun! That is the best way to get more volunteers, because once you hear Ron Paul's message, (not all can) your hooked and want to spread the word about a Humble Dr who wants to save America with his message of FREEDOM, PEACE!, SECURITY!

So do what you do best, and spread the word the PRECINCT LEADERS BOMB IS UNDERWAY! Make a video, create a web site, pass out slim jims, wave a sign, tell a friend, organize, drop Precinct INFO Bombs, join a Meet-up, get a bumper sticker, paint your car, be a walking billboard for Ron Paul and THE MESSAGE OF FREEDOM, PEACE!, SECURITY!

We more than doubled the numbers of Precinct Leaders from 3005 on Jan 8th to 7932
on Jan 15th. We need to double that this week to reach 16,000. We are at 8620. Come on people lets get this done.

I e-mailed my distro. list for the Jan. 8th sign bomb, over 700 people, this earlier today. My suggestion is to get VIRAL with the meet up groups, facebook, and myspace on this.

We need as many local leaders as we can get. We need to learn from the precincts in Iowa and New Hampshire where Ron won. They were very active locally. If we do that nationwide, we can bypass the mainstream media blackout.

I don't recall getting an email response. It's all on the web page. Did you select your precinct in the drop down menu? After you do that, the buttons on the left give you all the info needed to hit the streets/phones.

Went to a Meetup/Facebook meeting last night in Oxford. There were 16 people total, not as many as on the Meetup group page alone, and about 1/2 each from Facebook and Meetup.

But of these 16, 5 were already precinct captains, and the remaining said they would sign up for it! We had people from 5 or 6 towns in Northwest Mississippi so they aren't all in one place either.

What was also very encouraging was that 4 or 5 of the people were high school students, and another 6 are University Students! I am in disbelief at the ignorance the establishment Republican party is paying to the ability of Ron Paul to bring in new young voters and party members; it really makes me think they would rather see the party broken than to nominate Ron Paul.

I'll be spending much less time on the forum now since I have a network of precinct captains and real voters locally to start interacting with. I just hope the national campaign can get it's act together and start harnessing this vast wellspring of potential that is the grassroots.

Keep up the work ya'll, not only for Ron Paul but for any and all candidates who are willing to associate themselves with his good name and adopt his platform in their political career.
