After much thought I realized what the problem is.

Ron Paul was in the Air Force.
The Air Force has developed stealth planes.
Stealth material scatters or absorbs electromagnetic radiation.
Visible light is part of the electromagnetic spectrum.
At some point Paul was sprayed with a stealth covering.
Thus he becomes invisible on TV!

In fact, his stealth covering is so powerful it even blacks out mention of his name.

I think it's a misdiagnosis. I think the pundits don't care because he's honest and famous for his integrity. If he has no skeletons in his closet, what the hell can an investigative journalist do with him? Talk about bad for business! No one assigned to Dr. Paul will become the next Woodward or Bernstein.
