Is the argument that the military-industrial complex benefits the economy an example of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broken_window_fallacy#Special_interests_and_govern ment">broken window fallacy</a>? Or does it actually help the GDP in terms of creating wealth for defense contractors and oil companies, while doing jack shit for the ordinary Joe?
