If we are unable to pull off Ron becoming President, do you think he should run for the Senate?

He should move to NH as part of the Free State Project. He's flirted with the idea before.

Oh, it's so hard not to hate you for this comment... it is not the same thing.. and I think Ron Paul would make a good senator.

Paul serves as an influential member on some of the House committees, it would be a shame for him to give that all up just to be in the senate.

That's a good point. If he goes to the Senate he will be a n00b there.

However, the Senate is only 100 members to the House's 435, and any Senator has pretty much unlimited filibustering power, meaning one person can, if determined, do alot to stall or kill legislation.

Ron's going to be president, if not he can represent his people down in Texas like he always has been doing.-

Well as a Senator he would have a lot more power because he would represent a LOT more people and be a bigger fish in a smaller pond so to speak.

A Congressional Representative is 1 out of 435. A Senator is 1 out of 100.

The US population is about 300 million people.

A Congressional Representative represents about 690,000 Americans.

A Senator represents about 3 million Americans.

He should retire and write a book about the past year. He has done a great deal in the support of liberty in such a short period of time by simply running for president. His message has been recorded and has been of great importance for the people of this country and that within itself is a great accomplishment.

He should retire and write a book about the past year. He can write a book while being Senator

I think a Senate run is far better than serving in congress. He isn't really able to do anything in the house. He could run for Senate in 2010 against a first term Republican.

The next senate election down here is not until 2012. So he might as well just run for Pres again.

I'm going to guess that if he doesn't become President, he'll do one of two things;

-retire
-run for Congressman again.

I really don't think he's going to run for Senator. It sounds like a good idea, and it could bring along some interesting things, but the man is 72 years old...he might be getting a little "tired' you know?

either way, the day we lose Ron Paul in Congress is the day the elite will own Congress by 100%.

You are correct. I thought Cornyn wasn't up until 2010 but he is running now. No reason for him to run for senate in 2012.

If Ron could get 5-10 fellow like minded individuals votes into Congress then he should stay in the House. If he can't then he needs to get into the Senate.
