Issue targeting.

L for pro-life
T for taxes
G for gun rights

Don't know how accurate it is, might want to probe before assuming it's true.

All the info is in the canvasing instructions document...

If your state has partisan registration, there will be a column of letters, probably mostly "D"'s, "R"'s, "U"'s or "I"'s, sometimes "O"'s and "N"'s are common too.

The letters mean: R for Republican, D for Democrat, U for Unaffiliated, I for Independent, O for Other, N for None, T for Libertarian, M for Reform, G for Green, X for US Taxpayers, F for Right to Life, P for Peace and Freedom, W for Natural Law, S for Socialist, and E for American Independence.

Some voters will also have letters on their line: "G," "L," "T," possibly other letters too. These letters indicate that the voter is known to be concerned about a particular issue: G is for Gun rights, L is for the right to Life, T is for lower Taxes and spending. Some states also have their own micro-targeting info, and in that case, you may see "I" for opposing Illegal Immigration, "J" forprotecting American Jobs, "C" for opposing Corruption of power, or "P" for opposing Pork barrel legislation. Additionally, each instance where a voter meets criteria for more than one letter, the letter of the issue that they care about the most is capitalized, while the other(s) are lower-case.

So... the first letter would be the party affiliation (if your state has affiliated registration, mine does not so they all show as U)

Parties
---------------
R - Republican
D - Democrat
U - Unaffiliated
I - Independent
O - Other
N - None
T - Libertarian
M - Reform
G - Green
X - US Taxpayers
F - Right to Life
P - Peace and Freedom
W - Natural Law
S - Socialist
E - American Independence

Then, The Issues:
-------------------------
G - Gun Rights
L - Right to Life (Pro Life/Anti-Abortion)
T - Lower taxes & Spending
I - Against illegal immigration
J - Protecting American Jobs
C - Opposing Corruption of Power
P - Opposing Pork Barrel Spending

Finally...
--------------------------
$ - Have donated to the Republican party in the past (more $'s == larger donations)
! - Influence -- these people supposedly have a strong influence in their community (again, the more there are the stronger the influence)

I have no idea what the z would be.. maybe just a typo.
