Looks like the Granny Warriors got their recount funds frozen by paypal and thus missed the payment deadline.

From a post on Digg ""Ebay ( who owns paypal) boss Meg Whittman s Mitt Romneys' California campaign chief fundraiser. They have personal connection dating back to Bain capital which Mitt was the CEO and is now a "silent partner". For good measure too Bain bought Clear Channel communications. The largest radio conglomerate in the country."

Interesting stuff

Do we really want Ron Paul's name on this recount considering Ron Paul did not come out in favor of this?

So are people getting their money back that gave to this?

This is total nonsense. We have the money. We could get the money to him today.

All sorts of people would front the money.

Granny warriors et al are dropping the ball.

Kucinich's lawyer says they just need a letter saying they have the money--this is said in the article.

We need to know what they need to go forward with this. Do they need somebody to go to NH with a bankcheck?

"However, The strict 3pm deadline for funds to be transferred imposed by Secretary of State William M. Gardner doesn't seem to be in accordance with the law, as Dennis Kucinich's Attorney Manny Krasner pointed out, only a written guarantee of payment is required to secure a recount."

This has been resolved. An extension was granted and the money is there.

Mods, bury this thread.

What reason did paypal give for freezing the funds? And furthermore... why the heck were we using paypal for something so important when a quick search reveals that their past transgressions are well known?

Since you obviously haven't been paying attention, Ron Paul's name is not on it.
It can't hurt.
It might help, now and in the future.

PayPal always freezes funds when lots of people donate at once... they've done it countless times -- it happened to fiveforfreedom on their big day. All it requires is talking to them and it will get resolved.

KUCINICH HAS PAID$27000 for his --- the republican has not, according to google news.
