if the convention is brokered, isn't it a symbolically and strategically good to win the state? why haven't any of the GOP candidates focusing on winning there? I think this gives RP a good opportunity.

MN is a blue state, this state always goes to the democrat candidate. Although, I did see a RP sticker on the back of a van in my local Target parking lot.

The Twin Cities are blue and a few other parts, but the rest of the state is red and ample feeding ground for RP supporters. :)
