Currently we have two vastly important ballot initiatives that need 371,000 signatures to get on the ballot in November 2008. The People’s Choice Tax Repeal Initiative and the Part Time Legislature Ballot Initiative.
The People’s Choice Tax Repeal Initiative changes Michigan State constitution to give the people a vote on every tax increase the legislature passes. This is the ultimate check on Big Government Lansing Bureaucrats.
The Part Time Legislature Initiative will change Michigan to a part time legislature. Currently we are 1 of only 4 states that have a full-time legislature. This Initiative will also cut legislature pay in half to $40,000 and provide a 1% penalty for every day missed of the 90 day session.
