Does anyone want to join?

We will probably be promoting it on myspace, facebook, meetup, other message boards, and we'll be encouraging people to promote it offline.

I suggest posting it on all the top ron paul videos. Some get thousands of hits a day.

Also, go to www.topronpaulsites.com It has the list of most viewed Ron Paul sites.

Well for example, we'll probably comment on people who are in RP's MySpace friends list

Interested in helping by producing a Televised Ron Paul MLK Day Townhall to discuss MLK's legacy (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=89577)

We need to spam every single forum on every single website, millions of times.
Quantity not quality on this. Drop promotions by the ton.

GET TO WORK!

Not spam, make sure you follow the rules. And if you don't want it to look like an advertisement, make it look like news, example:

"Ron Paul Supports plan another mega-donation day"

anyway, please refer to my new thread for this team

From bnyles:
"Well the easiest way would be to ask the owners of http://www.myspace.com/ronpaul2008 and http://www.myspace.com/congressmanronpaul to post a bulletin.

Harvesting MySpace friend id-s would be doable but sending messages is something completely different. Why? Because MySpace has installed a CAPTCHA test -- it means that in order to send a message You have to recognize an image and type in the numbers and charaters You see. That is a very difficult thing to do with a computer program. So real human beings have to send the messages.

Right now Ron Paul 2008 profile has over 100000 friends. If everybody sent 100 predefined messages then we need a thousand volunteers to get the word out. Of course that would require a central master contact list. I do not know if people would bother to update it.. so I guess the only way would be to distribute 100 friend chunks of it. But then again, bad boys might grab it and we will never now that say 50000 people have not received the message.

The only real solution I see is a creation of a proxy website for sending messages to MySpace. It would go something like this:

1) a user logs into this proxy website using his or her MySpace account (username and password are not saved, only used for authentication to MySpace)

2) theres a button "send message" -- when clicked, the user grabs an entry from the master friend list, sees the CAPTCHA from MySpace, solves it and sends the message away. So sending a message to a friend of Ron Paul would require less than 10 seconds.

Everyone could do it, provided that. And the real benefit is that the sender doesn't have to surf the profile of Ron Paul and synchronize with other grassroots activists about who has been notified of the upcoming money bomb."

We need to allocate the $23 million by state population (like this):

State population % allocation $ allocation

1 Alabama 4,599,000 3.2% $739,461.43
2 Alaska 670,000 0.5% $107,727.58
3 Arizona 6,166,000 4.3% $991,415.35
4 Arkansas 2,810,000 2.0% $451,812.70
5 California 36,457,000 25.5% $5,861,827.66
6 Colorado 4,753,000 3.3% $764,222.70
7 Conn 3,504,000 2.4% $563,399.19
8 Delaware 853,000 0.6% $137,151.69
9 Georgia 9,363,000 6.5% $1,505,452.79
10 Illinois 12,831,000 9.0% $2,063,063.63
11 Masss 6,437,000 4.5% $1,034,988.74
12 Minn 5,167,000 3.6% $830,788.70
13 Missouri 5,842,000 4.1% $939,320.22
14 Montana 944,000 0.7% $151,783.34
15 NJ 8,724,000 6.1% $1,402,709.62
16 NY 19,306,000 13.5% $3,104,162.30
17 N Dakota 635,000 0.4% $102,100.02
18 Okla 3,579,000 2.5% $575,458.24
19 Tenn 6,038,000 4.2% $970,834.56
20 Utah 2,550,000 1.8% $410,007.97
21 WV 1,818,000 1.3% $292,311.56

143,046,000 100% $23,000,000.00

Each pledge should provide $ pledge and e-mail as before, but also provide their Meetup Group Code. That way, each state can track their own progress, but also progress within and amongst the Meetup Groups within each state.

For pledges not involved in Super Tuesday, we could use a general offset against the $23 million to reduce each participating state's contribution proportionately.

This information can be listed by a national map with tabular progress, and could provide specific drill down by state, including # of meetup groups within state, and their % participation.

Finally, the campaign has a special code field that could be used to capture pledges from this project, maybe by two digit state code.

A few final points:
This plan can build on the momentum that has been established by the MLK site.
It can last beyond MLK and live until Super Tuesday (and beyond if needed), which means we reduce our risk to any one day, but still get the upside of that money bomb.
It ties all the meetups together by state, and gives feedback by meetup group in terms of overall $ and % participation.

Anyone want to build this?

I've been passing out DVD's of the event to the HOOD here in Columbus Ohio.

They go like hot cakes too suprisingly, can't keep the carry outs stocked with enough of them.

The foreigners working the carry outs are very willing to let you leave literature about ROn Paul on their counters for people to take. They love Ron Paul.
