I don't know why they wouldn't. They really don't want to be resented or feared by their communities--yet a body of overly onerous and restrictive laws, passed by people like Vitter and Bush who feel they can pass anything because they themselves are above the law, turns them into the bad guys in the societies they are trying to protect from true evil.

As far as I know Paul does not force anyone to take pictures with him, particularly cops.

I believe that those cops like him and wanted to have a picture taken with him.
