And this gives way for Ron Paul being the TRUE anti-war candidate. The dems have been shutup ever since the surge and they no longer oppose the war as much as they did a year ago. Ron Paul and the campaingers , and us grassrooters MUST use this to grab the indepdent democrats who are against the war but feel confused by their flip-flopping democratic party....

What do you guys think?

It's a great opportunity for RP to capture the anti-war vote. He needs to hammer home the fact that we're paying insurgents to be peaceful. The "surge" is doing next to nothing to quell violence. Meanwhile, the Iraqi government is doing nothing on the political front to get their differences solved so we can leave.

The problem is, you have only so many facets to your campaign. If you paint Paul as a anti-war democrat he will not appeal to Republicans... which is why we aren't winning.

Ron Paul IS an anti-war candidate. That's right, Ron Paul will never appeal to warhawks, and we don't need them. Let's just bring in the centrists.

Dr. Paul is an anti-war conservative. A lot of our problems in the past few years have been a direct result of Bush's policy of preemptive war. Our national debt has nearly doubled because of our forays in the middle east.

True, but this campaign currently turns off the "centrists" BECAUSE of the extreme anti-war statements by him and the supporters. They don't want to be called an "anti-war activist" even if they are anti-war, thus they avoid Dr Paul in fear of being called such. In the mind of the majority of Americans is the fear of being "radical". Therefore, they try to avoid radical groups. Dr. Paul can remain radical because he is rational, but the supporters need to be rational, even more so, since this is what people fear (becoming radical like them). Some have even suggested that a radical group of anti-war activists have taken over Dr Paul's campaign to push that agenda. The war was a part of his campaign before but it is overemphasized by anti-war demonstrators and thus a turn off to most people who have tried to honorably support the president during his term in office.

Stress that Ron Paul is an anti-war conservative, like Mr. Republican, Robert Taft. In appealing to the Republican base we should show them that one cannot be for the war and be a fiscal conservative. The budget numbers don't add up.

Todays Democrats are not anti-war. They are Humantarian Imperialists or better put:

Imperialist Lite.

They are just as much a part of the machine as the current administration.
