Less than a week to raise 50 grand.

Spread this everywhere you can!

Message people on Facebook, Myspace, other forums you may be a member of.

This could be worth more in free advertising than the blimp!

Amazing, amazing.

Long time reader/first time poster, I just had to get a few lines in seeing how everyone seems to be so gullible..

Think about it for a second.. Roy Jones junior will gross millions of Dollars for this fight. Millions.. Yet, he is willing to have an advertisement on his back if he gets 50.000 USD for it?

I mean.. If he would really endorse Ron Paul he could speak out for himself, and what's more.. He wouldn't ask money for it. He would just get the temporary tattoo and shock the world.

If he would want to advertise for the money on the other hand.. Wouldn't he ask for a little bit more than 50.000 USD? How much will this fight rake him anyway? 10 million? 20? Would he care about 50 grand extra?

I am not only implying that this could or might be a scam but i am 99.99 % sure that this is a scam.

If the poster was genuine he could easily come up with some validation of his claim. He doesn't because he can't. All he can do, does, did, and will continue to do is reply in an I'm busting my ass of for this campaign and you don't even trust me!! kind of fashion.

Wake up people.. I'm a long term Libertarian (even though I'm working for a Dutch project in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, so I can't exactly hit the streets with signs and banners) and I love the discourse that Ron Paul is providing in the States. But not everyone on the movement can be trusted and the person who is initiating this grassroot movement can not.

Please use your money, time and effort on other projects that are validated and can be considered genuine. Unless this poster can come up with at least a shred of evidence to support his claim I would absolutely disregard it. As nice as it would be to see RJJr with a Ron Paul endorsement on his back..

And just to make things clear: Yes this is my first post.. But no, I am not a troll who is saying you shouldn't support grassroot movements or do whatever it takes to get Ron Paul media exposure. I strongly encourage you all to get the Libertarian message out, and I encourage you to spend your time and money to the cause. I do believe however that this particular cause is a hoax and all your money will go directly to a trip to the Bahamas for the original poster. Put it somewhere else, he has gotten too much as it is.

I hope this isn't a scam because it would be a great publicity advantage for Ron Paul and the Revolution. If mstrmac1 can give me some kind of solid proof that Roy Jones Jr. has indeed given the go ahead for this, I will donate $100 to the cause.

In the mean time, I have sent an email to http://royjonesonline.com (http://royjonesonline.com) explaining your claim, with a link to your website (http://www.ronpaulboxing.com/) and have asked them if they have any way of contacting Roy Jones's camp to see if they can confirm your claim because we wouldn't want to see Roy Jones's name being used to swindle people out of money.

I am going to look online for other sites that associate themselves with Roy Jones and will send them the same e-mail unless mstrmac1 can show me confirmation.

Maybe others who are a little suspicious of this fundraiser can do the same thing, or even phone HBO to see if they can pass on your information to the Jones camp.

If this turns out to be for real, it would definitely be worth donating too.

I need to see something more concrete before I donate. This doesn't smell right.

In the meantime....spend the money on local ad buys and influence your own community. Let HQ decide on national exposure.

Change your neighborhood...change the world.

but if I were to support this....I could never live with blue ink on a black background!

White on black for highest contrast.......but I still don't believe in the validity of this project until I see something.

SuperBowl ads, Fighters with tatoos etc etc.....hmmmmmm?

How about we canvass in our own backyards fellas? Thats where the battle will be won.

Funny thing is, I don't even see a button to DONATE on the web site! Am I missing something? not that I even want to donate to this. It does seem fishy.

If it is true, and the guy gets knocked out in the first round, not too much bang for our buck right? That's not a lot of exposure. Plus our ad will be on the back of a loser.

Meh. Not my cup o' tea.

He's a 3-1 favorite to win and even if he doesn't win it will likely be a long fight.

There are national youth boxing events going on around the country at the moment. They will be in Columbus Ohio this upcoming weekend (the 20th of January) I believe.

They are in the middle of their national tournament which would be a great boxing event to canvas.

The boxers are between the ages of 12-17 I believe where there is potential to talk to alot of parents and those who work with youth.

Pacs are REGISTERED. Please post the PAC FEC ID# and State Registration info.

If I could raise $50,000 I could disappear for a year or two after I cleaned out the paypal account, nice little island vacation.
