"Asked directly if Ron Paul was a racist, Linder responded "No I don't," adding that he had heard Ron Paul speak out about police repression of black communities and mandatory minimum sentences on many occasions.

Dr. Paul has also publicly praised Martin Luther King as his hero on many occasions spanning back 20 years.

"I've read Ron Paul's whole philosophy, I also understand what he's saying from a political standpoint and why people are attacking him," said Linder.

"If you scare the folks that have the money, they're going to attack you and they're going to take it out of context," he added."

I didn't see this posted yet. Please refer this to anyone who still calls Dr. Paul a racist.

Flood CNN with this now. Tell them that we demand they run a story on this to make up for their smear campaign on Ron Paul.

and while you're at it.. ask them why we were told that the speedboats were a threat even though the naval commanders didn't think they were.

I don't think this is the national people, this is the Austin TX NAACP president.
Though I think the interview overall is good, and clearly positive for RP from a member of the NAACP who has known RP for many years.

He clearly feels RP is not racist and also clearly recognizes the political motivation of these issues.

[edit for quote]

Ron Paul would never endorse racist slander for any means.

He had nothing to do with the newsletter during the few years when the serious racist comments occured. He was fully engaged in his medical practice. RP has apologized many times for not monitoring what went out under his name.

Dude! I suggest you accept logic and truth, or please take your troll posting elsewhere.

We all lose credibility when we dismiss the poor judgment exemplified by Ron Paul in allowing those letters to go out in his name and not reviewing the content.

The least we should ALL do when confronted by people who harp on this subject is acknowledge that RP did use poor judgement in not reviewing the content before the letter went out in his name.

At that point we should begin defending him as not being the author and not holding to those viewpoints.

We need the NAACP to tell us that Ron Paul is not a racist?
