for the last week i have been sitting down talking to people we would call "neocons" and i have a completly diffrent view on them from what i used too.

most of us think of neocons as big forcefull bullies, warmongerers filled with hatred that spew there fascist policing of the world all over everything.

i now am convinced neocons are scared little wimps, revolving everything they base their beliefs on as a scare tactic, essentially chickenhawks for the majority, and want to feel comfortable at all costs even if it means it is a false since of security.

if you look at the ones who are actually doing all the policing(our soldiers around the world) they dont want to be there, they hate our foreign policy...
i have talked to many that would turn on our own government in a second if it meant to preserve the liberty of america.

neocons from what i have found have never been to war, never even been in the military... they say they want to kill terrorists... but that line is out of fear.

they are scared shitless of the idea they could die from a terrorist.
and the fear is so great they want the comfort at all costs.

they are no fighters of this country... they would rather be left alone than to defend freedom.

im sure you already knew this but i just wanted to share.

Neocons also seem to watch too much TV.

Who you are describing sounds like a rank and file Republican voter. If they looked into what neo-conservatism really is, they might reject it out of hand and find it extremely difficult to support what they've been believing all this time.

When I think of Neo-Conservatives I think of those guys in the Washington think tanks and in media outlets like Fox News, who spend a great deal of their time researching foreign policy and coming up with ways to justify the behaviors of the Bush administration and the foreign special interest lobbies.

neocon leaders are the bullies, and they use thing like religion and freedom to scare their neocon followers into doing their dirty work. neocons are really the big business interests/ military-industrial complex that benefit from war. throughout history and all over the world, business interests want war but use things like religion and freedom to recruit their footsoldiers. remember that it is always a rich man's war, but a poor man's fight.

There are Neocons, and there are neocons. A Neocon is a policy maker, advisor, office-holder, or think-tanker who subscribes to the Neocon philosophy of American Impirialism, centralization of gov't powers, martial law, and corporate welfare. A neocon is a dupe who votes for Neocon policies and politicians, because he's been brainwashed into believing that it's the patriotic thing to do. A neocon is completely clueless about the origins and socialistic nature of Neoconservatism, and thinks that "neocon" is just an epithet that liberals made up taunt conservatives. They don't realize that real conservatives hate their brainless/spineless @$$es, too, for destroying American liberty and for giving conservatism a bad name.

Yes. I know because I was one. I have always been for smaller gov., the founders, Bill o rights, etc. i just thought that the Repugs were the closet thing to that. Now i see the Dems and Repugs are equally horrific.

TV Advertisement Idea:

War... Debt... Recession... FEAR!

Sound good?

Then why do you vote for them?

I'm sure we can find clips of McCain, Romney, Goohl, Huckleberry, and Thompson saying ignorant things about all of those topics. Put them together in a video and contrast them with Dr. Paul's positions...

Fed up?

Vote Ron Paul 2008!

I disagree that people who support Bush and Hillary are automatically neoconservatives. They are more accurately described as sheeple. The neoconservatives are actually intelligent but deeply misguided. They have a philosophical belief. They have misguided regular ignorant Fox News and CNN watching Republicans that they are legit conservatives.

No offense. We all make mistakes. I, myself, voted for the elder Bush....twice, although somewhat reluctantly the 2nd time.

Absolutely true.

Just about everyone I know that considers themselves a "Bush person" is afraid to take anything into their own hands. They are just big goverrment liberals that just happen to have an R next to their name. If we were REALLY attacked by another country, they would be the first ones hiding in their basements instead of fighting the enemy head on. I guarantee it.

I know alot of people like this and they all have that same fear of being attacked. Their fear of this is greater than any fear that their own government being too intrusive in their lives.
