Hi all,
I’m sure most of you know who I support for President this year (Ron Paul), and I know the people I’m sending this e-mail to have various beliefs on who should fill this position. I am putting a link at the bottom of this e-mail to a video which is for the most part 99% of the reason I am voting for him. He is the only candidate who has attempted to address this issue on the campaign trail with a reasonable plan. This e-mail in itself is not to convert people to Ron Paul, but to help people to fully understand the economic situation our country now faces. In fact, the video only briefly mentions his name once, so it’s not a video promoting a candidate – it is simply a video describing the problem we now find ourselves with.

I believe that no matter which candidate you support at this time, that the problem in this video is the #1 thing that should be asked to them and addressed. If this situation is not solved immediately, I feel that the rest of the issues us Americans like to argue about come campaign season will be a moot point.

I am merely asking that everyone take off their robes of Republican, Democrat, or Independent and approach this video with an open mind. It is my belief that not only our future, but our future generations depend on us solving this one important problem. Also, if you feel as strongly as I do that this needs to be solved, we need to push the candidates for their solutions to this problem and pass this on to everyone you think would be interested.

Thank you for your time in considering this problem,

Bill Jarrett

I'm not sure if anyone here could use it, but I figured I'd pass it on. I really think this video (although it is Glenn Beck) does the best job to explain to people our economic situation.

My Outlook Express if full of about 4 years worth of email addresses that went into it when I replied to emails. These are for business emails as well as personal. Below is what I sent out to about 3,000 email addresses the week before last.

************************************************** ************

Happy New Year! I hope 2008 treats you well. :-)

I usually don't send out much political email (except of course if it has to do with being able to continue to drink beer on the river in New Braunfels, hehe), but this time I feel it's important enough to make an exception. There is someone you should check out if you haven't heard of him yet. Ron Paul is a ten-term US Representative from Lake Jackson, TX. He is running for the Republican nomination for President in 2008.

If you don't ever pay too much attention to politics, you should this time. If you are the type of person who basically believes that the proper role of government is to simply safeguard your God-given freedoms, then Ron Paul is your guy. He is a strict Constitutionalist and believes that the federal government should stay out of our lives, out of our wallets, and be limited to what the Constitution outlines. He also believes we shouldn't be the world's policeman or open checkbook. In Congress he always votes according to the Constitution. Consequently, the major media outlets as well as the Republican "leadership" either mostly ignore him or try to make him sound like a kook.

The grassroots support for him dwarfs all other candidates combined however. On Dec. 16th he set the single day political fundraising record in US history by bringing in $6.03 million dollars in 24 hours. It was a grassroots effort that the official campaign had nothing to do with that was planned to coincide with the 234th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. He raised $19.5 million over the last three months. More than any other Republican candidate. And yet he is being excluded from a Republican Presidential Forum in New Hampshire on Fox News that is two days before the primary election.

His support is very broad-based and includes Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Libertarians, Greens, liberals, conservatives, you name it. All over the spectrum. The unofficial slogan of the grassroots campaign is the Ron Paul Revolution, and it truly is a peaceful revolution in progress. It is being fueled by the internet. The lid has been blown off of the virtual monopoly on the flow of information that has existed for many decades. The information revolution the internet has spawned is really starting to reach its full potential. Ron Paul's grassroots support is snowballing due to online coordination and I've never seen anything like it.

He is an actual real alternative to the media-picked frontrunners of the two major parties who has a shot at winning. If you love the way of life we have grown used to in America and want to preserve it for future generations, then you owe it to your kids and grandkids to at least take a close look at Ron Paul. I'm not asking you to take my word for it, click on some of the links below and check him out for yourself. If nothing else, watch the first three videos and check out his positions on the official campaign websites. If you want to see more, search for his name on www.Google.com (http://www.google.com/) or www.YouTube.com (http://www.youtube.com/).

Most of his supporters don't agree with him 100%, but take a big picture look at his positions and what it would mean for our country. Even if you're not interested in politics. If you've ever had a guy fighting in your corner in Washington, DC, Ron Paul is that guy. A true statesman and not a politician. This time you don't have to choose between the lesser of two evils.

Dirk
