I'm being facetious with the title of this thread, but I think Ron Paul is hurting his likeability factor by sounding like a policy wonk all the time. I think this especially hurts him in the debates. He almost never smiles or laughs and typically maintains a defensive posture.
I realize that he is often in hostile territory, but I think a broad smile and a more confident air would give him more power than obscure talking points that the average person may not even understand (i.e Austrian economics).

We have no hope in this country if people base their vote on a smile.:(
We also have no hope if we base this campaign on the assumption that issues are the only thing that attract votes.

Yes, though he is right with what he is saying, I fear that many see him like this guy:

Well if you want to be sick .. smiles and jokes do win people over.. If you watched that dumb ass focus group.. Thats all they kept saying .. he has to be funny likeable ect. Its really sad.

Ron would be no where without him all ways talking about the issues all the time, that is what got the big internet support for him.

Yeah, Ron Paul is Ron Paul, we have to take him how he is, there is no re-packaging of Ron Paul
